ABOUT ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH

In 1843, the Japanese were the first to immigrate to the U.S., followed by the Chinese, who played a vital role in building the transcontinental railway in the 1860s. Congress established Asian Pacific American Heritage Week in May of 1978 to mark these two milestones and honor the cultural and economic contributions of this diverse population. Later that year, the celebration was expanded to the full month.

DIVERSITY EVERY DAY

Our commitment to diversity is an integral part of our strategy. Macy's believes that different perspectives help drive creativity and innovation.
