Make-A-Wish®

Research shows that children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness. Wishes can also offer an improved quality of life and produce better health outcomes. Not only does a wish impact the life of a child, but it can have a lasting effect on the lives of their families, volunteers, supporters, medical professionals and entire communities just like yours. This is why your gift is crucial. This year, customers like you raised enough money to grant 800 wishes through Macy’s Thanks for Sharing. That’s 800 children you helped replace fear with confidence, sadness with joy, and anxiety with hope. Your participation allows us to deepen our impact – transforming more lives. Visit wish.org for details.

Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation

The HIV/AIDS epidemic still exists. There are more than 1.2 million people in the United States living with HIV and 1 in 7 of them did not know it yet. The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation works in the area of HIV education, testing and prevention for the youth of our country. Furthermore, we know first-hand that men, women and families of color in the southern United States are disproportionately affected due to poverty, stigma and lack of access to care. Our work to bring marginalized communities, such as the two examples stated, to the center of attention and advocate for their rights continues Elizabeth’s vision today. Elizabeth Taylor’s community to fight HIV and AIDS is mobilizing like never before. Join at etaf.org; @etaforg; FB: The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation; Insta: elizabethtayloraidsfoundation. March of Dimes

Partnering for nearly 20 years, March of Dimes and Macy’s share a common belief that all moms and babies–regardless of age, race, geography, income or socio‐economic background–deserve the best possible start and healthiest beginnings. Unfortunately, health inequities and disparities in our communities are far too commonplace; together we’re working to change that. Geared toward communities with the greatest disparities and highest preterm birth rates, the 2018 Macy’s Thanks for Sharing campaign contribution of $1.5M will help support core components of March of Dimes’ community programs, including training medical and community health workers, providing professional curricula for program implementation and distributing health education materials to women to help ensure they have the healthiest pregnancies and their babies have the brightest future. Visit marchofdimes.org for details.
