What is Star Money?
For Star Rewards members, Macy’s purchases can add up to points—plus, bonus points during Bonus Days. Every time you hit 1,000 points, you’ll get $10 in Star Money!
How can I earn it?
Shop with your Macy’s Card or Bronze membership. You’ll rack up points that collect in your Star Rewards account.
How can I redeem it?
At the register, ask a Store Colleague if you have any Star Money or apply it at checkout online. Star Money cannot be redeemed on gift cards, services or fees.
When can I redeem it?
You can spend Star Money anytime within 30 days of the day it’s issued to your Star Rewards account.
Where can I find it?
If you’re shopping in store, identify yourself as a Star Rewards member at checkout and any Star Money you’ve earned will be available to apply to your purchase. Shopping online? Just sign into your account to access your rewards.
What are the Bonus Day exclusions?
February 11-16, 2026: Macy’s cardholders get 1,000 bonus points for every $75 purchase and Bronze members get 1,000 bonus points for every $100 purchase made in single transaction on qualifying purchases at Macy’s and macys.com, less discounts and adjustments. Online purchases must be made by 11:59pm ET on offer end date to earn bonus points. Silver, Gold and Platinum members get bonus points in addition to the points they earn when they use a Macy’s Card, and Bronze members get bonus points in addition to the points they earn, less discounts and adjustments on qualifying purchases at Macy’s and macys.com. Members can earn a maximum of 500,000 points ($5,000 in Star Money) per transaction on jewelry trunk show purchases. You must check out as a Star Rewards member in order to earn points. Star Rewards members who present a Macy’s Card at point of sale but choose to pay with a different form of tender, including payment with a Macy’s Card in a virtual wallet other than Macy’s Pay, will earn bonus points at the Bronze status rate. Macy’s cardholders who do not pay with their Macy’s card will not earn points on macys.com purchases unless they link their Star Rewards loyalty account to their macys.com account.
Bonus points are not earned: on furniture, rugs, mattresses, tech, Barnes & Noble, Finish Line, Sunglass Hut, Lids®, Louis Vuitton, Pandora®, Macy’s gift cards, services (e.g., Beauty Box and other subscription services, restaurants, salon services, alterations, etc.), fees, or sales tax; at Macy’s clearance stores, Macy’s Backstage; on purchases made outside of Macy’s or in any department that does not use a Macy’s point of sale register; or when redeeming Star Money rewards or Macy’s gift cards. Every time 1,000 points are accumulated, a $10 Star Money reward will be issued. Star Money rewards may be used to purchase merchandise at Macy’s but can’t be exchanged for cash or used: to purchase Macy’s gift cards; for services (e.g., Beauty Box and other subscription services, restaurants, salon services, alterations, etc.); in any department that doesn’t use a Macy’s point of sale register; for any purchase that will be shipped outside the U.S.; or as payment on any credit account. To redeem a Star Money reward on orders of furniture and mattresses on macys.com, you must call Macy’s Customer Service. Star Money may not be redeemed when paying with a Macy’s Credit Card in a Macy’s store if you use an electronic wallet other than Macy’s Pay.
