Wishes need you. When a wish comes true, it creates hope and transformation in a child–and a community. Research shows a wish can give kids the strength to fight against and even overcome a critical illness. This is why your gift is crucial. This year, customers like you raised enough money to grant 800 wishes through Macy’s Thanks for Sharing. That’s 800 children you helped replace fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope.
Your participation allows us to deepen our impact–transforming more lives. Visit for details.

Ralph Lauren Pink Pony
The mission of the Pink Pony Fund of The Polo Ralph Lauren Foundation is to save lives by reducing disparities in cancer care and ensuring that quality treatment is available to everyone at an earlier, more curable stage. Scientific evidence from the National Cancer Institute has shown that patient navigation can greatly increase the number of people who undergo cancer screening and can reduce the time between diagnosis and care. The Macy’s Thanks for Sharing campaign will allow the Pink Pony Fund to continue its support of patient navigation programs at 10 cancer centers and hospitals across the United States. Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation
The HIV/AIDS epidemic still exists. There are more than 1.2 million people in the United States living with HIV and 1 in 7 of them do not know it yet.
The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation works in the area of HIV education, testing and prevention for the youth of our country. Furthermore, we know first-hand that men, women and families of color in the southern United States are disproportionately affected due to poverty, stigma and lack of access to care. Our work to bring marginalized communities, such as the two examples stated, to the center of attention and advocate for their rights continues Elizabeth’s vision today. Elizabeth Taylor’s community to fight HIV and AIDS is mobilizing like never before. Join at; @etaforg; Facebook: The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation;

Reading Is Fundamental
For the last 16 years, Macy’s partnership with Reading Is Fundamental has provided more than 14 million books and thousands of digital literacy tools to children across the country. With 25 million children in the U.S. unable to read at a proficient level and 63% of fourth graders reading below grade level, the literacy crisis affects every community across the country. But it’s a problem we can solve. Reading Is Fundamental and Macy’s believe every child should own books, learn how to read, and obtain the fundamental building blocks to achieve their highest potential. As the nation‘s largest nonprofit organization for children‘s literacy, Reading Is Fundamental has provided more than 416 million books to 50 million kids in all 50 states, inspiring generations to read, learn and grow. March of Dimes
Partnering for nearly 20 years, March of Dimes and Macy’s share a common belief that all moms and babies—regardless of age, race, geography, income or socio-economic background—deserve the best possible start. Geared toward communities with the greatest disparities and highest preterm birth rates, and predominantly focused on prenatal education, Macy’s contributions will continue supporting core components of March of Dimes’ community programs, including training medical and community health workers, providing professional curricula for program implementation and distributing health education materials to women. Without these critical resources, for example, more than 52,000 women served in 2018 with Macy’s help would have been at greater risk. Among the vital programs that March of Dimes provides for women and families, Supportive Pregnancy Care (SPC) fosters health equity and health literacy by addressing social determinants and medical factors in an approach that is culturally relevant and customizable. This model of group prenatal care addresses rising preterm birth rates by increasing social support, access to community resources and education, self-efficacy and patient empowerment. In 2019 Macy’s will contribute to expanding vital SPC prenatal care and mission resources—through education, bilingual content development, distribution and training—to assist in supporting, educating and empowering all moms during their pregnancy journey. This includes launching a new SPC site in Suffolk County on Long Island, NY, an area of high-risk pregnancies in the greater New York City area.
