What is an NFT?
Blockchain? Crypto? What does it all mean? In short, “non-fungible tokens,” or NFTs, are authenticated, one-of-a-kind digital collectibles (ours happen to be inspired by the 2022 Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks® show).
What is Discord?
Launched in 2015, Discord began as a popular chat app designed mainly for gamers to communicate. The platform has since become a general-use platform for a wide range of communities, including users interested in cryptocurrency & NFTs. Users can join & conduct voice & video chats, send private text messages, and participate in, start their own & invite others to join special-interest communities, known on the platform as “servers.” We’ve created a Macy’s Discord community where users can learn more about how we’re engaging with Web3 technology.
Do I need a digital wallet?
You will need a digital wallet to claim your free NFT, which will not be available until the 6/27 airdrop, or to purchase an NFT sold by an owner on the secondary market. Think of it as the place where you’ll securely keep your new digital collectible.
To make the process of setting up your wallet easy, you can choose software wallets such as Metamask or Coinbase Wallet, which are platforms that equip you with a wallet address, secure logins & everything you need to manage & protect your digital assets. How do I buy & sell NFTs?
You can buy & sell Classic, Rare & Ultra Rare NFTs from an owner in our online marketplace hosted on OpenSea.

Secondary sales
After the initial airdrop, NFT owners have the right to collect, buy, sell or trade NFTs. A royalty fee of 5% will be directed to Macy’s from each sale.
