Their doc BBD @ Fenway won an Emmy last year. Plus, they wowed audiences at the 2023 NHL’s Winter Classic with the Boston Pops & at our Thanksgiving Day Parade.

One of her generation’s most esteemed songwriters, Brandy Clark has penned major country hits for Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves & more. Brandy’s solo output has been no less impressive—she’s released three critically acclaimed studio albums after debuting in 2013 with 12 Stories. In what has been a landmark year, she won a 2024 Grammy for best Americana performance with “Dear Insecurity,” a moving duet featuring Brandi Carlile.

Grammy winner and reigning CMA & ACM Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson is one of country music’s hottest artists. Sporting her signature wide-brimmed hat & bell bottoms, the Louisiana singer-songwriter has scored seven No. 1 hits including “Wildflowers and Wild Horses” & “Watermelon Moonshine.” This summer, she’s headlining the Country’s Cool Again tour, and releasing a new album, Whirlwind, on Aug. 23.

An award-winning artist from Puerto Rico, Luis Fonsi is one of the leading Latin singers of the last 25 years. From his 1998 debut album Comenzaré to this year’s El Viaje, he has racked up millions of fans. His global impact is largely due to “Despacito,” the ubiquitous 2017 hit featuring Daddy Yankee & Justin Bieber, which became a worldwide sensation and received seven Guinness World Records titles for its music chart dominance & billions of video views.

From sharing his first taste of music online in 2020, to quickly garnering millions of monthly listeners & selling his first headlining tour in less than a day, Mark Ambor’s rise has been meteoric. Since the release of his 2022 debut EP, Hello World, and accompanying internet recognition, the 26-year-old emerging musician has found himself at the top of the global charts, solidifying himself as a rising force & artist to watch. His new album, Rockwood, marks his largest body of work to date.

With 2021’s Remember Her Name, Mickey Guyton made history as the first Black artist to earn a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album. Following that, she was named 2022 TIME Breakthrough Artist of the Year and then dropped heartfelt songs “I Still Pray,” “How You Love Someone” & “Somethin’ Bout You.” Mickey’s recent rise is due to her amazing voice but also the message of inclusivity, love & spirituality in her music.

Rising artist Shaboozey is carving his lane in the alternative country & hip-hop space. Born to parents of Nigerian descent & raised in the small town of Woodbridge, VA, Shaboozey began his epic 2024 run in March with two standout features on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter. His latest album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going debuted in the top five of the Billboard 200. It features the double-platinum smash single “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which has launched him to mainstream stardom.

Country music is at its best when raw emotions meet lived experience. Cali-bred country star Tanner Adell combines both in her songs. Her 2023 debut mixtape Buckle Bunny features tracks like “I Hate Texas,” where she gives candid reasons why she hates the state after a bitter breakup. Plus, there’s the equally cutting “Throw It Back” and “FU-150,” along with the TikTok sensation “Buckle Bunny.” Each track showcases Tanner’s knack for crafting witty, unapologetic anthems.

Founded in 2014 by married duo Michael Trotter Jr. & Tanya Trotter, The War and Treaty makes music for the soul, blending blues, rock, folk & country. In 2023, the Trotters became the first Black artists to be nominated for Duo of the Year at the CMA Awards. This year, the couple earned their first-ever Grammy nominations for Best New Artist & Best American Roots Song for “Blank Page,” off their major-label debut album Lover’s Game.
