Once you finish booking your reservation, you’ll have the option to download your reservation. You’ll also receive an email confirmation after you book & reminders before your visit. If you do not see it, please check your spam or junk folder.

We highly recommend that you print out the reservation email confirmation or have it easily accessible on your device the day of your visit. Your photo barcode will be scanned several times during your visit. Make sure your screen is clear to scan & not cracked.
Do I need a reservation to visit Santa?
Yes. Reservations are required to visit our Holiday Celebrations. Reservations can be made up to five (5) days in advance & open each day at 6:30am. Please note: your reservation time slot is to join the line to enter the attraction. Example: to see Santa on December 16, you can access that day’s available reservations five (5) days in advance on December 11. Please include every member of your party (adults & children) going into the attraction when making your reservation. (Maximum capacity per reservation is nine (9) people.)
What should I do if I have issues booking a reservation?
Once the season begins, a new day will become available each day at 6:30am local time. Reservations are open five (5) days in advance. If a day is full, you can periodically check back to see if any times become open based on cancellations. My child has a specific vision of Santa. We would prefer to visit a Black Santa. Can you accommodate that request?
At Macy’s, we believe in the magic of Santa. We offer the opportunity for guests to meet Black Santa & Caucasian Santa with the goal of offering representations of Santa, helping to meet the vision & needs of our customers. If your child’s vision of Santa is Black, please book your reservation for him on our website for Fridays from 2pm-7pm or Saturdays & Sundays from 1pm-6pm. Please note: reservations open five (5) days in advance of the day you wish to visit.
When is the best time to book my visit to see Santa?

What will my photo with Santa look like this year?
Guests will visit Santa as he sits on his bench. He is excited to see you & take a photo. You can choose to sit next to him on his bench or on a red gift box nearby. Young children who are not able to sit up on their own will require an adult or older child to sit with them to hold them up. Santa will not be able to hold children on his lap.

Santa visits kids of all ages on the 5th floor of Macy’s State Street, which is located at 111 N. State Street, Chicago, IL 60603.
How much does it cost to visit Macy’s Santaland?
Admission to Macy’s Holiday Celebrations is free. Please note: a reservation is required. Photos will be available for purchase after your visit and packages start at $39.99.
Can you accommodate people with special needs?

Can I bring my dog?
Only trained service animals are permitted inside Santaland. Pets & emotional support animals are not permitted. This is to prioritize the safety of guests & staff who have pet allergies.
Where can I find the digital photos I purchased?
Click “Download Photos” below to find your photos. You will need your photo barcode number, which can be found in your reservation confirmation email & “Thank You for Visiting” email. It is an alphanumeric number under the barcode.
Please include your reservation confirmation code, name, email address, date, time & group size to better help us fix the issue.
