Do I need a ticket to attend Macy’s Balloon
Inflation & Float Viewing?
Macy’s Balloon Inflation & Float Viewing is free
& open to the public. No tickets are required.
I want to see the balloon inflation the day
before the Parade. When & where do I go?
Join us for the Macy’s Balloon Inflation &
Float Viewing on the day before Thanksgiving.
The line will open at 12pm & viewing begins
at 1pm. Viewing hours will be from 1pm-6pm.
You can enter the queue at West 72nd Street
and Columbus Avenue to see the balloons
& floats before they make their way down the
the Parade route. Please follow all directions
from Macy’s Representatives & NYPD
upon your arrival.
What time does the balloon inflation close?
Please note: entry to West 72nd Street
& Columbus Avenue closes at 6pm. You must
be past the entry point at West 72nd Street
& Columbus Avenue by 6pm in order to gain
access to the viewing area, so please plan
your arrival accordingly.
Where is the entrance to the balloon inflation
viewing areas?
The entrance to the balloon inflation & float
viewing area will be at West 72nd Street
& Columbus Avenue. All guests will be subject
to a security screening upon entry. Please follow
all directions from Macy’s Representatives
& NYPD upon your arrival.
Will there be street closures?
Central Park West will be closed from West
72nd Street to West 86th Street beginning
12am Wednesday, November 27 through 12pm
Thursday, November 28.
West 72nd Street through West 85th Street
will be closed from Central Park West to
Columbus Avenue beginning 12am Wednesday,
November 27 through 12pm Thursday,
November 28.
The 79th Street Transverse will be closed from
12am Wednesday, November 27 through
12pm Thursday, November 28.
