Eligibility:

Macy's Golden Confetti Program (the “Promotion”) includes a sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) and a contest (the “Contest”). The Promotion is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Guam who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry. To receive prizes valued at $2,000 or more, entrant must be able to submit a valid IRS Form W-9. Employees of Macy's, Inc. (“Sponsor”), Merkle Inc. (“Administrator”), and any of their parent and affiliate companies as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible.

Agreement to Official Rules; Violation of these Rules Will Result in Disqualification:

Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these official rules (“Official Rules”). All federal, state, and local laws apply. Sponsor’s and Administrator’s decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Promotion. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein, including consent to a confidential background check to confirm each potential winner’s eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. Due to the nature of the prize offered, if a background check reveals that a potential winner has engaged in conduct that could damage the reputation of Sponsor or any of the Released Parties, as determined by Sponsor in its discretion, the potential winner may be disqualified.

In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between any other statements contained in any Promotion-related materials (including printed versions of these Official Rules) and these Official Rules, these Official Rules as posted on the Promotion Site shall prevail, govern and control.

Entrants agree that they may not create Contest entries using any third-party artificial intelligence sites. Entrants agree that they may not submit entries by any automated means or use multiple different identities, registrations, or email addresses to submit more Promotion entries than permitted by these Official Rules. Entrants also agree to not tamper with the entry process, the operation of the Promotion, to act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or in violation of any aspect of these Official Rules. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion or to violate any of the above requirements will void all Promotion entries of the person(s) responsible for such action and result in their disqualification from the Promotion. Entrant may also be in violation of criminal and civil law and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

Timing:

The Promotion begins on May 9, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on October 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the "Promotion Period").

For purposes of the Sweepstakes, there are 6 monthly prize pool periods (each a “Monthly Prize Pool Period”), as outlined below.

Administrator’s servers are the official time-keeping devices for the Promotion.

How to Enter:

Sweepstakes:

During the Promotion Period, visit www.macysgoldenconfetti.com (“Promotion Site”) and follow the links and instructions to accurately complete and submit the registration form, including your first and last name (initials are not sufficient), a valid email address, phone number, and home address. (P.O. Boxes are not permitted). You will receive 1 Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Monthly Prize Pool Period drawing.

Contest:

During the Promotion Period, after you register (as outlined above), follow the links and directions to answer the following prompts in English: “What are you celebrating this year?” (up to 100 characters) and “Tell us more about why this is special to you, who you’re celebrating with, etc(up to 250 words). Collectively, your registration and essay will be referred to as your “Contest Entry”.

By uploading your Contest Entry, you agree that it conforms to the Permissions and Content Restrictions below and that Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may disqualify your Contest Entry if it believes that it fails to conform.

Permissions:

You must have permission from any recognizable individuals who appear in the Contest Entry to use their names and likenesses in the Contest Entry and to grant the rights set forth herein. If requested, you must be able to provide such permissions or proof in a form acceptable to Sponsor. Minors may not be included in the Contest Entry.

Content Restrictions:

• Your Contest Entry must be your original work based on your honest opinion and personal experience;
• Your Contest Entry need not include any reference, positive or negative, to Sponsor’s products or services, and including a reference to Sponsor’s products or services in your Contest Entry will not improve your chances of winning.
• Your Contest Entry must not convey any claims of Sponsor’s products or services that would be deemed unsubstantiated or deceptive if made by Sponsor;
• Your Contest Entry must not contain material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights, or that constitutes copyright infringement;
  • Accordingly, your Contest Entry must not contain brand names or trademarks other than those owned by Sponsor; and
  • Your Contest Entry must not contain content created by a third party, such as music, images or artwork;
• Your Contest Entry must not disparage Sponsor or any other person or party through false, misleading, or exaggerated statements;
• Your Contest Entry must not contain material that is inappropriate, offensive, indecent, obscene, sexually explicit, tortious, defamatory, slanderous or libelous;
• Your Contest Entry must not make reference to or include: alcohol, marijuana, illegal drugs, prescribed drugs, tobacco or firearms/weapons, any activities that are or appear to be dangerous, or any political agenda;
• Your Contest Entry must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age; and
• Your Contest Entry must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of, or contrary to the laws or regulations in any state where your Contest Entry is created.

Entry Limits:

Each entrant may receive 1 Sweepstakes entry for registering for the Promotion and may upload 1 Contest Entry during the Promotion Period. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. In the event of a dispute as to any Sweepstakes entry or Contest Entry, Sponsor and Administrator will rely on the information submitted by the entrant to register for this Promotion. If any additional information provided by entrant is inconsistent with the information provided at registration for this Promotion, Sponsor and/or Administrator may disqualify such entrant and such disqualification may result in the forfeiture of any prizes won. Sponsor, in its discretion, may require additional documentation from entrant to show proof of entrant’s identity.

Sponsor's Use of Contest Entries:

Uploading a Contest Entry constitutes entrant’s consent to give Sponsor a royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, create derivative works from, and display such Contest Entry in whole or in part, on a worldwide basis, and to incorporate it into other works, in any form, media or technology now known or later developed, including for promotional or marketing purposes. If requested, entrant agrees to sign any documentation that may be required for Sponsor or its designees to make use of the non-exclusive rights entrant is granting to use the Contest Entry.

Winner Determination:

Winners will be determined according to the process set forth below:

Contest:

After the conclusion of the Promotion Period, a panel of qualified judges, determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will select the 1 entrant with the highest-scoring Contest Entry ("Potential Contest Winner") based on the following Judging Criteria:

• • Emotional Impact (Contest Entry evokes a genuine emotional response.) (34%);
  • Authenticity (Contest Entry is clearly articulated and rooted in a genuine, relatable experience.) (33%);
  • Personal Storytelling (Contest Entry effectively communicates entrant’s message in a clear manner.) (33%);

Subject to the entrants’ compliance with these Official Rules, the entrant whose Contest Entry receives highest score will be deemed the Potential Contest Winner. In the event of a tie, the entrant whose Contest Entry received the highest score for "Emotional Impact," as determined by the qualified judges in their sole discretion, will be deemed the potential winner from amongst the tied entrants. Sponsor will not disclose judging scores. Potential Contest Winner will be notified by email and phone from Administrator on or around November 11, 2026.

Sweepstakes:

Administrator is an independent organization whose decisions as to the selection of the potential winners are final and binding. Administrator will randomly select the potential Sweepstakes winners from all eligible entries received during the applicable Monthly Prize Pool, on or around the dates listed above in the Timing Section and will notify potential winners by email and phone. Non-winning entries from each Monthly Prize Pool Period will carry over to any subsequent Monthly Prize Pool Period.

Winner Requirements:

Potential winners of prizes valued at $2,000 or more will be required to sign and return a Declaration of Compliance, Liability Waiver and where not prohibited a Publicity Release ("Declaration") and an IRS Form W-9 which must be received by Administrator within 5 days of the date notice or attempted notice is sent, in order to claim the prize. Potential winners of prizes valued at $600 to $1,999.99 will be required to complete a Declaration which must be received by Administrator within 5 days of the date notice or attempted notice is sent, in order to claim the prize. The potential Contest Grand Prize, August Prize Pool Cruise Prize, and October Prize Pool Cruise Prize winner (or parent/legal guardian if winner is a minor in their place of residence) must also consent to agree to a confidential background check in order to claim the prize. All other potential winners may be required to provide their name, home mailing address (P.O. Boxes are not permitted), and date of birth to confirm eligibility and for prize fulfillment purposes within 5 days of the date notice or attempted notice is sent, in order to claim the prize. If the background check reveals that a potential winner has engaged in conduct that could damage the reputation of Sponsor or any of the Released Parties, as determined by Sponsor in its discretion, Sponsor may disqualify potential winner. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to execute and return the Declaration, the IRS Form W-9, or provide any other requested information within the required time period (if applicable), does not comply with these Official Rules, or if prize is returned as undeliverable, potential winner forfeits the prize. If the Potential Contest Winner is disqualified for any reason, the prize may be awarded to a runner-up, if any, in Sponsor’s sole discretion and only 3 alternate winners may be determined, after which the Contest prize will remain un-awarded. In the event that a potential Sweepstakes winner is disqualified for any reason or forfeits any prize, Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries and only 3 alternate drawings will be held, after which the prize will remain un-awarded.

Prizes:

Quantity, Description and Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”):

• 1 Contest Grand Prize: The Grand Prize winner will receive both a $15,000 Macy’s gift card (terms and conditions apply) and a $5,000 check each year for 5 total years. ARV: $100,000.

The odds of winning a prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the applicable Monthly Prize Pool Period.

Total ARV:

The total ARV of all available prizes in the Promotion is $227,538.68

For Concert Ticket Prizes:

Selection of seat locations is solely within prize provider’s discretion. Blackout dates and other restrictions may apply. An unclaimed and/or unused prize element will remain the property of prize provider. Ticket delivery method is at sole discretion of prize provider, which will be either sent to winner by mail, email, mobile ticketing or placed at venue Will Call the day of event under the winner’s name. Winner must be present to pick up tickets, and a valid photo ID will be required if tickets are placed at Will Call. Winner and guest must abide by all venue and event policies, to include but not limited to, showing a valid photo ID at venue for age verification and/or identification purposes if requested. Prize provider reserves the right to revoke full or partial prize from any winner or winner’s guest who it and/or venue personnel deem may, in their sole discretion, be intoxicated, be a safety risk, have violated any venue policy or law, and/or may bring prize provider into disrepute. Winner understands that there are inherent risks involved in being in public spaces and that these risks may be present before, during and after the event. Resale or transfer of any prize element, including tickets, is prohibited. By claiming event tickets, you agree to the applicable ticket terms of use, and to abide by the health and safety measures in effect at the time of the event. Should the event be cancelled, you will be notified as soon as reasonably possible.

For Ticket and Vacation Prizes:

The Sponsor and respective prize supplier are not responsible if the event or vacation is delayed, postponed or cancelled for any reason and winner will not be reimbursed for tickets or vacation components, and no substitution will be provided except as in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Seating and timing to be determined in the sole discretion of Sponsor. Tickets may be subject to Sponsor’s standard rain-check policies and procedures. By accepting ticket or vacation prize, winner agrees to abide by any terms, conditions and restrictions provided in the ticket and cruise contract (as applicable). The Sponsor and respective prize supplier are not responsible if winner does not use ticket on day of event or does not use the vacation. Transportation is not included in prize. Any other expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specifically listed herein as being provided, including ground/air transportation, luggage fees, lodging, meals, gratuities, delivery charges, etc., are the responsibility of each winner. If prize allows winner to bring guests and the winner decides to bring less than the allotted number of guests, the vacation prize will be awarded in increments suitable to the actual number of participants with no substitute vacation or compensation provided to winner. Actual value of the vacation prize depends on a number of factors, including booking and travel dates and the number of travelers, and therefore may be lower or higher than the estimated value at the time it is fulfilled. If the actual value of the prize is less than the stated estimated value, the difference will not be awarded. The winner will not receive compensation for any element(s) of the vacation that any participant is unable to use for any reason, and such unused portion(s) of the vacation will be forfeited. If the vacation includes airfare, the winner and guests must travel together on the same itinerary, and air transportation must be round-trip from/to the departure airport (with possible layovers). Sponsor and prize supplier will determine airline and flight itinerary in its sole discretion. Airline carrier’s regulations and conditions apply to air travel. Airline tickets are nonrefundable, non-transferable, and are not valid for upgrades. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight or cruise (as applicable). The winner and guests are responsible for providing proper citizenship documentation to travel which may include passports, valid alien registration card and/or necessary visas. Minors under the age of eighteen (18) not traveling with a parent or legal guardian must be accompanied by an adult over the age of twenty-one (21). The parent or guardian of any minor not traveling with a parent or guardian must appoint an adult to have custody and control over their minor and to contract on their behalf in connection with the vacation. Vacations are subject to blockout dates as determined by the respective prize supplier.

Additional Prize Terms:

Terms and conditions of gift cards apply. The actual value of electronic prizes is subject to price fluctuations in the consumer marketplace based on, among other things, any gap in time between the date the ARV is estimated for purposes of these Official Rules and the date the prize is awarded or redeemed. Prizes are non-transferable, and no substitution will be made except as provided in the Sponsor’s sole discretion should the prize become unavailable. Prizes and prize components cannot be sold or traded. In this case, a prize of equal or greater value will be offered. Winners are responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use. Winners of a prize equal to or greater than $2,000 will receive an IRS Form 1099 MISC reporting the actual value of the prize received. ARVs are determined as of the time these Official Rules were published and the value of a prize may fluctuate. A winner is not entitled to any difference between the ARV and the actual value of the prize at the time the prize is awarded. Where applicable, prize style, size and all other details will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. All other costs and expenses associated with acceptance of the prize that are not expressly set forth herein shall be solely the winner’s responsibility. Prizes are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Sweepstakes Prizes will be fulfilled approximately 8-10 weeks after conclusion of the Promotion. Limit of 1 Sweepstakes prize per household and 1 Contest Grand Prize per person during the Promotion Period.

Ownership of Contest Entry:

The Contest Grand Prize winner shall irrevocably grant, transfer, convey and assign to Sponsor the entirety of the rights in and to the Contest Entry and all renewals and extensions of copyright, and the right to secure copyright registrations thereto in perpetuity including, without limitation, the rights to use the Contest Entry for any and all purposes in any and all media whether now known or hereafter developed, on a worldwide basis, in perpetuity. The winner accepts and acknowledges that Sponsor shall not be obligated to use the Contest Entry and that Sponsor in its sole discretion shall have the right to refrain from using the Contest Entry. Sponsor shall not incur any liability whatsoever to the extent Sponsor chooses to refrain from any exploitation of its rights hereunder. The winner will indemnify Sponsor, Released Parties, and any licensee of Sponsor against all claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable counsel fees and legal expenses) arising out of any breach of these terms.

Release:

By receipt of any prize, winners agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Administrator and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies and prize suppliers and each of their respective parent , affiliated and subsidiary companies and each such company’s officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Promotion and/or acceptance, use, inability to use, misuse or redemption of a prize (including any injury or harm related thereto).

Publicity:

Except where prohibited, participation in the Promotion constitutes each winner’s consent and grant to Sponsor and its agents to use the following information about the winner (to the extent provided by winner as part of the entry or winner confirmation process): winner’s name, city, state, likeness, photograph, Contest Entry, social handle, voice, opinions and/or prize information for promotional advertising or other purposes, in any media without further notice, review, approval, payment or other consideration. Sponsor is not obligated to use any of the above-mentioned information or content but may do so and may edit these materials at its sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation. Sponsor will not use any of the above mentioned information in a manner that is inconsistent with its Privacy Policy or applicable law.

General Conditions:

Sponsor’s Right to Modify or Cancel:

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Promotion, including but not limited to fulfillment of the prize(s), where any of the following “Issues” occur:

• Fraud
• Technical failures;
• Human error;
• Any other factor that impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Promotion; or
• Any event or cause beyond Sponsor’s control (e.g. events such as natural calamities, national emergencies, widespread illnesses, declarations of war, acts of God, acts of terrorism) that interferes with any aspect of the Promotion, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.

Where one or more of the above Issues occurs, Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may determine the winners from among all non-suspect, eligible Contest Entries received up to time of such action using the judging procedure outlined above; and/or modify the prizes offered. Where one or more of the above Issues occurs, Sponsor will make reasonable efforts to award all remaining Sweepstakes prizes by conducting a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the date of the Issue; and/or modify the prizes offered.

Sponsor’s Right to Limit Prizes Awarded to the Number Stated in these Rules:

In no event will Sponsor be obligated to award more than the stated number of prizes set forth in these Official Rules. In the event that more winner notifications are distributed or more prizes are claimed, due to a printing, production, seeding, computer, or other error of any kind, than the stated number of prizes, Sponsor reserves the right to award only the stated number of prizes based on the winner selection process described in these Rules.

Limitations of the Scope of Responsibility:

The Released Parties are not responsible for:

• Any incorrect or inaccurate information either provided by entrants or where the incorrect information is caused by printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion;
• Technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to malfunctions, delays, interruptions, or disconnections to the internet, social media platforms, phone lines, or network hardware or software;
• Unauthorized human intervention in any part of the Promotion, including but not limited to the entry process;
• Printing, typographical, technical, computer, network or human error which may occur in the administration of the Promotion, the uploading, the processing of entries, the judging of entries or the announcement of the prizes or in any Promotion-related materials;
• Late, lost, undeliverable, delayed or misdirected entries or failure to receive entries due to limitation of third-party social network platforms; If for any reason an entrant's entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in the Promotion, if it is possible.
• Any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Promotion or to the receipt, use, inability to use or misuse of any prize; and
• Any unauthorized third-party use of any Contest Entry.

Disputes:

Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that:

• Any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan or the appropriate Michigan State Court located in Oakland County, Michigan;
• Any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Promotion, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and
• Under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
• All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Promotion, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Michigan or any other jurisdiction) which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Michigan.

Severability:

If any provision of these Official Rules is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law. Remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. If any provision is determined to be overly broad, it will be limited and enforced to the extent allowed by applicable law.
