Returning to this year’s parade are the snowman and ladybug inflatable floats as well as two Nutcracker themed “trykalloons” with inflatable characters on a bicycle built for two peddled by Clara and the Nutcracker Prince himself!

Special thanks to our parade marshals from the Lions of the Pacific Northwest; our volunteers from the Girl Scouts of Western Washington, Seafair Foundation and the greater Seattle community; the Make-A-Wish® Foundation of Washington and Alaska; St. Vincent’s School; and to our color guard from the Tacoma Yacht Club.

OUR SPONSORS

Aflac

This marks the eighth year the Aflac Duck balloonicle has experienced the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the fifth experience in the Macy’s Holiday Parade in Seattle. And for those that may not know—Aflac isn’t car, home or even health insurance. It’s coverage that pays you cash you can use for out‑of‑pocket expenses that add up when you get sick or injured. Aflac helps cover what health insurance doesn’t—something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving and all year long.

The Aflac Duck continues to support the treatment of children with cancer as well as research that may ultimately help conquer pediatric cancers. You can help support by purchasing the Aflac Holiday Duck on AflacChildhoodCancer.org or at participating Macy’s stores! 100% of net proceeds go to the Aflac Foundation, Inc. to help children with cancer across the country. Aflac has given over $128 million in contributions to this worthy cause. You’re invited to join the Aflac Duck in the search for a cure.

Happy Holidays to you from Aflac.

Aflac herein means American Family Life Assurance Company of Columbus and American Family Life Assurance Company of New York.

Salty’s Seafood Grills

Salty’s Waterfront Seafood Grills present their annual Magical March of the Nutcrackers, featuring the restaurants’ impressive nutcracker collection created by local Seattle artists. The seven‑foot‑tall statuesque nutcrackers snap to attention along with West Seattle High School Marching Band and in tandem with Macy’s “trykalloon” Nutcracker themed floats. Salty’s team members supported by their family and friends, decked out in their holiday best, escort the magnificent nutcrackers through the streets of Seattle. After the parade, the nutcrackers will reassemble at both Salty’s on Alki Beach (1936 Harbor Avenue SW) in West Seattle and at Salty’s at Redondo Beach (28201 Redondo Beach Drive South) in Des Moines, where they will entertain guests throughout the season’s celebration of holiday brunches, family and company gatherings and the Argosy Cruises Christmas Ship festival. For more information on Salty’s Magical March of the Nutcrackers call Alki Beach at 206-937-1600, Redondo Beach at 253-946-0636, and visit saltys.com.
