Better than I could have hoped for!
I ordered this dress for my wedding and its PERFECT for the occasion. The dress itself is much prettier in person, the beading is beautiful and its not too heavy either. I am 5'8 and the dress was the perfect length with my 3 inch heals.
Cheap
I have seen nice dresses by Papell, this is not one of them. The beads fell off when I took it from the box. The beads fell off when I zipped it. They fell off when I walked. The top layer is very thin and cheap. I immediately took it off and drove to Macy's to return it. Oh and it was shorter than floor length on the lined part. And I am 5'8"
Beautiful Dress
I purchased this dress to use for the introduction ceremony for my baby. I loved it however had to return due to the color. I wanted something more off white than this. It will be an awesome purchase for a simple Fall wedding
A gorgeous dress!
I ordered this Adriana Papell gown online and it arrived quickly. I'm very comfortable ordering this designer without trying on first as most of her styles fit perfectly. This dress did not disappoint. The cut is so flattering and I love that it has sleeves! The beading is lovely. The gown fits true to size. I'm very tall so I can pull off AP gowns with no problem but for an average or petite person, the dress will be very long. I'll wear it with heels and it's perfect. I did not find the weight of the gown (due to the beading) to be a problem. I'm a little disappointed that the edges of the sleeves are not finished. I understand why the edges were left raw but am a little concerned about how they will hold up. This is one of the most beautiful AP gowns I've purchased--and I have MANY! Thank you, Macy's, for carrying this designer.
Not Disappointed
Bought this dress to wear at my wedding and am very pleased. The price was great for our budget but is still well made. The fabric has a bit of stretch to it, so it's very forgiving in that sense. However, since I bought a "shape hugging" size, it's not very good at hiding a few imperfections. The sizing seems to run the same as most department store sizing--not formal wear sizing. As mentioned by another reviewer, the skirt is quite long. I'm 5'7 and will need at least a 2" heel for it not to drag. Overall, it is a great dress for a great price!
Beautiful dress
I ordered this dress for my wedding this year, which will be outdoor, but somewhat formal. The dress is exactly how described and beautiful! It fits very nicely and hangs well, very flattering! I love it! I was also true to size, which you never know with formal, sequined gowns. I'm very happy with it!
pretty dress
I tried this dress on in store for my wedding. It's very pretty with nice detail but the sleeves are a little awkward. If I would've purchased it I would've had the sleeves taken off and its pretty long for average height. It was a little more money then i wanted to spend but for a fall wedding it would be nice.
