I have bought high $$ name suits from the wearhouse...but let me say the slim fit is tailor nice. No need to go to a tailor, as I am a slim guy, that is a 42 L. The first time I wore this suit I got many compliments. My brother is now going to get him one and he is not the easy person to please...LOL.. make the purchase you won't be disappointed.
beautiful suit, excellent value
first, let me say that i always bought suits that would require alterations...jackets narrowed at waist, pants requiring major work to shorten crotch, taking material off the rear and hemming to length. and, most of my suits were higher end...ie higher dollar. now, thanks to the availability of suit separates, all my suits are bought off the rack, no alterations required. the quality of suits manufactured this way is markedly improving, with excellent materials and excellent workmanship in most cases. true, there are exceptions. but customers reviews can really help one navigate the potential pitfalls of buying suits online. there is one issue that reviews cannot guard against. this is the fact that there can be significant variability in size of a jacket or pant, from the same manufacturer. for example, i recently bought suiting from Banana Republic, and 3 different pairs of 32 X 30 pants all fit differently. variability to me then, is the biggest pitfall in buying online. that said, here is my review of this suit. blue fabric is a beautiful wool, with a very rich lustre in ambient lighting. the online photo just does NOT do justice to the look of this material. lightweight, just perfect for year round wear. style is very modern, with a slim profile. workmanship is high quality, excellent detail inside and out. sizing across the Alfani Red line is VERY consistent...i buy 42R with 32X 30..and am confident in the fit. BTW, i have 3 Alfani Red suits, and they all fit perfectly. again, i prefer a slim fit in the jacket, and little break in the pants, so the fit is just right by me! (i find this consistency is better than that of the BAR III line.) i get perhaps more compliments with this suit than my others, and it has become one of my favorites, wearing with black or brown accessories. i don't think you can go wrong with this terrific suit!!

I was searching for a good navy suit and I came accross this one and I decided to give it a try. I'm very pleased wih the color and fit. It is a great addition to my collection of suits. It goes with so many options and is light enough for a night out.
Your "Go To" suit
Very nice, trim fit suit made of light weight wool. The deep Navy color is beautiful -- an excellent frame for your shirt/tie combo. The Navy color goes well with almost anything -- white shirt, pastel, bold pattern, sweater, T shirt -- you name it. You will get a LOT of use out of this suit. The fabric is light weight, which is good for staying cool, but it doesn't hold a pressing as well as it could. Other than that, I totally love it.
Pretty good looking suit!
I don't have the luxury of having a Macy's store nearby, so I had to blindly order it online. The suit looks good, but as others have said, the arm holes are quite low compared to any other suit I own. The material looks pretty good and the detail on the inside of the suit is nice too. Not sure why others think the pants are not slim fitting, I think they fit perfect and are as described. I will have to return the 42L for a 42R. I usually wear a 42L, but the sleeves were a tad longer (probably due to the low arm holes). The only problem I had was that I ordered the vest and it came ripped on the back collar. I have to make a return to exchange the coat so I guess I can overlook that and get a new vest too. Overall, very happy with the suit! Only reason I give it 4 stars is because the arm holes.
Finally...
I have in recent years been searching for a suit to really wow me. This suit finally met the criteria. It is business appropriate, as well as extremely flattering in social situations. I have only worn it a couple of times, and have received a stream of compliments. And it is nice to look in the mirror and be really pleased about what you see. Size wise, I'm 5'6', weighing about 144. I ordered a 36S and it is the most wonderful fit I have ever found with a suit coat/blazer. Relatively, I fit comfortably in a Perry Ellis 38S #slim/city style#, and a 37S Jos.A.Bank #fitted/tailored#. Neither of those other buys ever left me feeling as handsome and well-presented as Alfani's fit though. From here on out, Alfani is my go to for any new suit I'll purchase. And the material seems well made, and is decent in most weather #warm, cool, cold#, sans a Southern summer afternoon. Hope this helps.
Good suit
Your basic navy suit. It's on the darker side of navy, I had to double-take in the store to make sure I wasn't getting black. Fits well except for the low armholes, but I guess that's just a problem you'll have to live with for a suit under $300.
Wonderful brand
I can't seem to get enough of this brand. High quality suits for the price you can't beat. Runs slim which is exactly what I needed and looks great.
