Legend of The Silver Mercury Dime
Product Details
The legend of the silver Mercury dime begins in New York city in 1913. Adolf Weinman captured the beauty of his tenant, Elsie Stevens for a portrait bust. In 1916 Weinman was selected by the U.S. mint to design the dime. One can easily see the similarities in the profiles of Stevens and lady liberty.
