The silver capped bust dime was minted in Philadelphia from 1809 to 1837. The obverse design featured a profile bust of lady liberty wearing a cap, known as the freedom cap. Inscribed on the headband of the cap is the word liberty. The reverse displays the eagle and an olive branch.
