The Last Devil to Die (thoughts)

This book broke me. I knew that it was going to, it did, and I'm even sadder that we have to wait an unknown time for the next book. It was also completely worth it. I don't know how the author did it but these characters feel like family at this point. I'm going to leave you with this absolutely incoherent review - it's simple really - I love this series so much and would recommend it wholeheartedly - and am instead going to share with you all a few of my favorite quotes from this book. "But, however much life teaches you that nothing lasts, it is still a shock when it disappears." "They say that time softens the pain, but that's a fairy tale. Who would ever love again if anyone actually told the truth?" "Days of death are days when we weigh out relationship with love in our bare hands. Days when we remember what has gone, and fear what is to come. The joy love brings, and the price we pay." Ugh, just reading some of the quotes I saved makes me want to cry all over again. All of the stars! Read this series, but be prepared for when you get to this one. It's my favorite but also made me sob.
