Pretty dress but bad zipper placement

I’m 5’9”, 36DD, 30 waist and 42 hips - 268lbs. I got a large and a medium. The medium fits best. Pretty dress but the zipper runs all the way down from the left armpit towards the button if the dress and it bulges - feels uncomfortable under the arm and looks weird at the waist because it bulges and folds. It doesn’t lie flat. The dress hits right under my knees. Colors are vibrant and material is soft and stretchy. Zipper should have been in the back or no zipper at all because the dress can stretch and use as a pull up.
