For the items purchased, it would be nice if they didn’t have some kind of perfume or spray scent. To be clear, the items that came folded and enclosed in plastic bags had no scent, so obviously they came directly from a distribution center and had never been tried on by anyone and had never been hanging on a retail store floor. The items that came on hangers obviously came from a store and smelled terrible. I have been told Macy’s regularly sprays their clothing items with some kind of antibacterial spray and I wonder if that’s true because all of the clothing smell the same from Macy’s. Just terrible! I bought some very nice dresses I would love to keep but I don’t think I can because they’re not washable and dry cleaning will not remove the smell. What is going on with Macy’s clothing? Everything I buy there no matter which department needs to go into my washing machine with a lot of vinegar several times to get the smell out. They don’t smell in the store because of the “masking “effect, but once home, it is immediately obvious. Many people have fragrance allergies and get sick from that kind of smell and most people just don’t prefer to smell like whatever it is you might be spraying your clothes with. Or perhaps it’s something in the fabric, and then that would be an issue with your supplier. At any rate, you are losing business because of it. other stores do not have the same problem. Occasionally there is an item that someone has tried on and a scent has been left on the item. But no store has every item of clothing, no matter what department, smelling exactly the same, like Macy’s. Could you please reply, and could you please fix this problem?
