Thread Count Not Always Best

I am a loyal Charter Club Damask Collection consumer but thought I would upgrade to a higher thread count with these sheets. Sorely disappointed in their quality. They feel "stiff" after several washings and they are now pilling! I would NOT recommend these sheets and will happily go back to the "tried and true" Damask Collection which I have always been very pleased with.
