This device came highly recommended but I purchased four as gifts, one was broken in the box, the second functioned for about two days, the 3rd would not hold a charge and so we didn't open the 4th. Thankfully, Macys took them all back without question. It's a great idea but they need to work out the kinks before selling.
I love that it counts my steps, without having to wear a pedometer or carry my phone, and I can wear my regular watch, which I love! I really don’t care for the look of the wearable fitness devices, and this just fits on the back of my beautiful watch, so it counts my steps ALL OF THE TIME. This was a great purchase, at the sale price, and I would absolutely recommend it!
Well kinda lol. When I first got this, I was on a public beta for Android software and the initial software was really a work in progress compared to the iOS counterpart. While it did the basic things, it was extremely limited in what you can ask it to do. Progress about 6 months later. The app is pretty still much in beta but has been polished and is closer to the iOS version. Does it stay on under your watch? Well there are factors that attribute this. For one there is a sticky side that can get gradually less adhesive upon wear and dust and whatnot. But use a damp cloth and wipe it clean in a sense to re-institute the adhesive backing to the watch. I have seen where the Chronos can come loose and slide off the back. The only way I can see it happening is if the Chronos is not properly cleaned and if the watch back where the chronos attaches to is not flat enough for the adhesive to grab onto. I have had no real issues thus far.
The back cover that seals in the electronics for this device doesn't seem to be attached well and always has a problem falling off. I've had the unit replaced once already and the replacement unit ended up with the same fate in less than a month. Chronos customer service has more to be desired as they just stopped responding to my emails. Perhaps they went out of business? I'm not sure their treatment of customers is poor just like the quality of their products. Don't waste your money on this device. It won't last a year.
I bought the Chronos Smart Disc to use with my Omega watch. I've always appreciated the analog watches much more because of their classic and timeless design. However, I appreciate technology, especially with the benefits towards fitness monitoring. The step and calorie counter were a welcome addition to my daily routine, and the notifications from my phone makes things so much more convenient. I cannot recommend this product enough. Wonderful innovation!
Where do I begin... 1) Completely inaccurate step counter. 2) If your watch has any raised inscriptions on the back it will not stick properly (Does not stay on my Speedmaster well) 3) Notifications are hard to notice which defeats the purpose of the device. 4) Any sweat and the 'stickiness' of the suction dissipates even more (tried the product on a cheap gym watch as well and was disappointed) 5) Does not hold a charge nearly as long as it should. Ultimately, This product will eventually (within a matter of days) sit in ones drawer or simply be thrown away. I would recommend an actual fitness tracker or smartwatch.
