    Good pan for the price!
    Sep 08, 2015

Ordered online for store pickup thanks to earlier reviews. Pretty good pan - decent weight, nice thickness on the bottom but thinner sides keep it a little lighter. Hollow handle stays cool on the stove but stores a little water in the dishwasher. Hand-washing was recommended, but we don't and it hasn't been an issue.

Not Quite What I Was Looking For
    Jul 23, 2015

I purchased this pan online. I based my purchase from the reviews, but I also based my purchase from the details. There is a nice heaviness to the pan. The handle is hollow with an opening at the beginning and end, which should help to keep it cool somewhat during cooking. When holding it, I did not like the feel of where I place my hand. I found the base of the cylinder handle to be sharp on my hands. Not sharp to cut, but I have delicate skin, and it was just uncomfortable in my grip, whereas other pans I own are smooth and comfortable in the same grip. I like the bottom of the pan. It is nice and thick, but the sides are thin. I own a pro-line series of pans, which are 18/10 stainless steel, and I am used those where the thickness follows throughout the pan vs the bottom. In the instruction sheet, inserted with this pan, they read to cook on a low-medium setting. I am not sure that this pan would have accommodated me in that area. As well, the instructions also read that with too high of a heat, the bottom could liquefy. Say what? How so? Nevertheless, I was not willing to find out. Hand washing was recommended. I really have no problem with that. It is a nice pan for someone who cooks on a low-medium setting, though. Enough people seem to like it according to the reviews. I have returned it, and I will be on the search for the same style of pan of different quality. I also have to say, before I forget, that the sale price was also an enticement. I would say that it is a good pan for the price.

    6 months of use

I like the cooking performance of this pan. However, it has lots of discoloration and spots that won't clean well. I'm not sure if I got a bad pan or if I've done something wrong but I'll probably replace because I hate the fact that it is so hard to clean.

I have used this pan twice now to prepare buttermilk fried chicken - have made this recipe for years, but it turned out better than ever - and I know it is the pan! No hesitation on recommending this one. I would purchase more of these pieces. Martha Stewart offers excellent quality products - the price was amazing for such a sizable pan and I love the clear lid. Highly recommend!
