Rust/lid won’t open
I bought this kettle three years ago and has 2 good years of use. However, the lid began to get stuck and now won’t open. I also noticed rust started to develop around the lid rim. I’m disappointed that it didn’t last longer and now the price has gone up $60 from what I originally paid.

It really is Perfect Temp!
I really am impressed. This is by far the best water kettle I have ever bought. My wife and I enjoy that we can have our coffee just the right temp that each of us can enjoy.

Very dangerous flaw!
Bought new a few years ago. Worked as advertised for a couple years. Now the unit has started boiling uncontrollably even if no buttons are pressed. In searching online, I see that this failure mode is so common as to be nearly inevitable, leading to enormous risks when the unit fails to stop heating. I do not recommend buying this dangerous kettle.

Why not cool to the touch?
Well made and performs well. For its size and weight, I think it should be insulated so the sides are not hot. Our coffee making area is small, and I'm worried someone will get burned.

Broke down in less than 2 months
I bought this after reading good reviews, and it worked well initially. But after about 45 days, the kettle stopped working correctly. Sometimes, it would work after a few days' break from using. Water was leaking from below. It may have been a defective piece, and as it was out of the return window, I bought another one. But the same problem happened after 3 months. I won't buy it again, and don't recommend this particular kettle.
