    Disliked finish
    Apr 04, 2014

The black chrome finish came with handprints already on it right out of the box! Returned it after reading reviews about how difficult it was to keep clean. Love this coffee maker. I have it in black mat finish. Ordered the black mat finish after returning this one.

    very good

this was purchased to replace a previous cuisinart that died. I do love how it has two temps for the warmer. The newer brushed stainless is not as real looking as the older model though.

This is a great coffee pot, I have never had any problems with it. Works consistently, the coffee is great, and there are some features that are really useful.

Bought a lot of coffee makers, but this one by far is the best yet.. No drip spout and superb craftmanship are two of my favorite things. Highly recommend.

    A great Coffee Maker

Love the heat setting for the carafe it keeps the coffee as hot as you want and the replaceable water filter keeps the coffee tasting fresh. . If you send in the warranty card it has a 3 year limited warranty for normal household use. I did not run a coffee cycle using white vinegar once a month as suggested (we have mineral well water) and needed a replacement after 18 months. Cuisinart customer service was great and is sending me another coffee maker. I would buy again.

Cuisinart - Leave the coffee alone
    Oct 05, 2012

Stylish and sleek, yes but, functional? Not so much. Purchased this coffee pot because of it's style and flair however, we quickly realized that Cuisinart should NOT be messing with coffee pots. Design flaws abound on this unit. Let me explain: The Pot: Be very careful with the carafe on this unit. The handle is prone to breaking (splitting along the silver band around the bottom) due to expansion and contraction of the carafe during heating and cooling. Water Reservoir: We suggest placing a towel under this coffee pot as you WILL spill water trying to fill this unit. The reservoir is very awkward to fill and the pot doesn't allow you to pour very quickly as the water flow will flatten out (the way the pour spout is designed) and leak down the back of the machine. Button and Dial Placement: BIG design flaw here. Convenient, yes but REALLY bad placement. While water is heating and the coffee is brewing, the steam rolls right up the front of this unit, blanketing the buttons, dials and display. As these accessories are not sealed water tight, after time, the buttons will stop working. One at a time for us. Our first unit lasted 6 months, our replacement unit only 5. A bit high priced for a unit with that lack of longevity. Heating: We have heard other reviewers blame the pot not staying hot however, we have realized that it's actually not the pot that is the problem. With our unit, it was the heating unit inside. The pot was keeping coffee nice and hot but, when it was brewing, the water was only luke warm. Long Story Short (Let's Sum It Up): If looks and converation are all you are going to use this machine for, have at it. It is beautiful in design and fits into any modern kitchen. If you're looking for a solid daily multi-use coffee pot (we brew 2 pots a day) then, look elsewhere. Our first unit lasted 6 months, our replacement unit only 5. A bit high priced for a unit with that lack of longevity. Cuisinart kitchen tools and electronics are usually very high quality (albeit a bit high priced) but, this one really missed the mark for us.

    Very frustrated with Cuisinart!
    Sep 11, 2012

This was an upgrade to the Cuisinart I returned to Macy's 2 1/2 years ago after I had had it six months and it died. This coffeemaker lasted 3 years, and then one morning, there was no power. Only use it once daily to make 1-2 cups. I will be buying a different brand and spending less!
