Simple to use, small size

I have had expensive espresso machines but they took up too much space on my counter. This one is small and does just what I want it to do. The only thing I wish it did was stop after the espresso shots are done. I have to watch the machine to make sure it doesn't overflow. Other than that, it makes a nice espresso. Haven't tried the milk frother yet since I bought a separate frother to avoid the work involved with getting the milk just right.

Leaking right out of the box

My brother had DeLonghi espresso machine and really liked it. I have ordered one too. When I opened the box, the plastic bag was completely soaked and the machine was totally wet! And it was right out of the box without even using it. I am not sure what is wrong with these machines, but I am afraid to try another DeLonghi.

Waste of money

Years ago I purchased a De'Loghi combination espresso/cappuccino & coffee maker and I loved it. It was used daily and lasted a very long time. I purchased this machine because I wanted a machine that used pressure instead of steam. Not only did it start leaking in less than a year but one of the feet on the plastic water tank broke off one month after I purchased the machine when I dropped the water tank on the floor while cleaning it. This made a hole in the water tank and I couldn't use the machine. I went crazy looking for a replacement tank. The telephone number listed in the manual was no longer in service and NONE of the service centers listed in the owner's manual worked with De'Longhi any more. I finally was able to order the part from their website and it took 3 months to get it and the shipping was more than the part cost. Don't expect any customer service if you have issues. I will never purchase another De'Longhi product again.

So far, excellent!

I purchased this based on the reviews and while I have only had this a month, I love it so far. Makes "coffee house" style espresso and froths milk to perfection! One complaint was the steamer shot out water, but you need to run it for a couple seconds to clean out previous water. Highly recommend "espresso" ground coffee, tastes the best and makes the best espresso. Unit has had zero issues and good to go right out of the box. I would purchase again...so far

Great machine

I use this machine daily, sometimes twice daily and it has continued to work except for a couple of fluke times - and that could have been exhaustion. It makes good espresso with crema and good cappuchino. If I leave the steamer on too long it won't work when I go to use it (that's why it's 4 stars and not 5)...so I've been trying not to do that! Had it for over a year now, bought on sale in store.

Easy to use, Yummy espresso

My husband and I got this machine for our wedding, and we use it at least weekly. We were worried at first because it does make a slight whine when pressurizing the water, but it works like a champ. Makes only one espresso at a time, so this isn't the right unit for really heavy use. For our family of 2, it is perfect. The frothing nozzle is very effective - hubby made a cappuccino the other day and ended up with only foam - but the unit does not come with a metal frothing mug. Be sure you get one of those, as that is the best thing for making delicious steamed milk. I'd register for this one again in a heartbeat!

Great cappucino

Never owned a cappucino/espresso maker before but makes great cappucino. Takes a little more patience than just turning on the coffee though.

My first espresso machine

I bought this during macy's great sales so I paid about $40.00 less than regular price - Thank You Macy's! I've only used the machine a couple of times and am making a better latte every time. The directions have great step by step diagrams and written instructions. It says to tamp the espresso lightly but I'm learning that tamping it harder makes a stronger espresso. Great foam too. It took a while to warm up the water the first time, I thought I was doing something wrong. Now I just heat up the water many minutes before I am ready to make the drink then when I go to use the machine its immediately ready.
