Fun gemstones
My son absolutely loved this. He had such fun. It was very easy for him to do alone. I highly recommend this for exploration. He had fun looking up the gemstones after he got them. I would suggest doing it in an area or on a surface that you don’t mind it getting messy. The dust from the kit is blue and can stain carpeting. Such fun!!

Super fun!
My kids LOVED this set! Yes, it makes a bit of a mess, but we just used a plastic tablecloth underneath and just rolled it all up at the end. Easy cleanup! The kids had so much fun finding new gems. It took them about 30 or so minutes to complete and they had fun the entire time.

My kiddo is obsessed with excavation kits similar to this, and this one is a winner! She can sit and chip away at the gemstones for so long, totally focused and entertained and I as a parent don’t mind the mess. The glowing effect give is cool she kept saying “wow” over and over. It’s a great mix of hands-on activity and science fun. If your child loves digging, discovering, and anything sparkly, this is a must-have!

Fun and educational kit
The Discovery Mindblown Toy Excavation Kit: Glowing Gemstones was a hit with my 5 and 8 year old on a snow day! They had a blast spending 45 minutes chiseling away at the dig brick, eager to uncover the hidden gems. While the included tools weren’t quite strong enough to break apart the brick, my kids who have been using real kid sized tools since they were 3, grabbed a real hammer and chisel to get the job done. Once they unearthed all eight gemstones, they washed them off and excitedly took them to a dark room to see how they reacted under the UV pen light. The instruction sheet also provided interesting facts about each stone, which made it both a fun and educational experience. Overall, this kit was an engaging hands on activity, perfect for keeping little explorers entertained indoors. Just be prepared with sturdier tools if your kids want an easier time excavating!

Great stem activity for kids
I received the Discovery Toy Excavation Kit Glowing Gemstones as a courtesy to test and review. This Stem activity was such a cool excavation learning activity for my kids. The blue chalky substance was UV light activated and glistened green in the dark which was super cool. My kids were occupied for a few hours while the chiseled out the various stones. They did state after a while that their arms were tired. They thoroughly loved the activity but wished that it had more than one chisel tool as this worked the best for them. They also wished it was in a different material other than plastic for the effectiveness. They do however feel due to the age suggestion that plastic is a good composite for the tools. Highly recommended this as an activity or gift and would purchase for family for sure.

A universal gift for any child.
My son who is 6 years old loves excavations. This set has everything for excavations plus a pen with a blue color, which was not in any other set that we had before. I think it is useful as an education. Good bright packaging, everything is securely packed and secured. This is a universal gift, I think it will suit any child. Of course, I love when my child plays with such a set outside, because if you play at home, there is a lot of garbage left.

So much fun!
So much fun! My 12 and 7 year old played this together and loved it! They found gems and rocks. They wanted another one as soon as they finished! I love the hand on element, it’s a little messy but that’s part of the fun!! 🤩 they loved using the black light to spot them!
