Bad Quality

I just purchased this pendant necklace for my son's birthday, and on day 32 of having purchased it, it broke off of the clip piece! So frustrating that Macy's won't fix it because I didn't purchase a protection plan!! I was expecting it to last much longer! This tells me don't buy any jewelry from Macy's again!!
