40 year old classic needed replacement

Faberware is a great product. I bought this as a replacement for a 40 year old one whose handle broke. 40 years is amazing and the rest of my set is still like new. I think the reason the handle of my old one broke was because of someone making flame too high. I like my new one even better because of the strainer lid, and I appreciate that it matches my older set.

Sauce pan 1 quart

Love my new sauce pan. I have one similar to it and have used it for many years. I decided I needed another one to complement my cooking. Very happy that I purchased it and I know I will be using it a lot.

Poor Quality

The concept of a straining saucepan is a good idea. Unfortunately, this saucepan is made from very thin stainless steel. I should have known better, considering the low price.

Not my mother’s Farberware

They do not tell you here to boil water on low to medium heat. And how does one do that? I can tell you all for certain, today’s pots are not your mother’s Farberware. So I could not make pasta or rice or hard boiled eggs in my pots. Pitting and very much discoloration. Their response……send me a replacement. What a laugh!! Lot of good that does. So sad!!

Perfect pot for making masala chai!

I've had one of these pots for over 10 years; then my mother left it empty on a lit burner and destroyed it! My friend's aunt in India taught me how to make masala chai by boiling a cup of water, adding 1 tsp of tea and spices, milk and sugar to taste, and boiling everything together on a medium-low flame for 5 minutes--so delicious! This pot is perfect for making this tea, and when my mom burned the pot, I couldn't make this tea for 3 days--how did I survive?! I'm so happy now to have my new perfect pot for making my morning masala chai!
