I am a 28 waisted 40 hips and ordered a 28 in this shorts. The fabric is thick jeans material. Love how it looks in the model on the picture but on me...oh no. It's huge at my waist and legs. So it's going back. Better to try this in stores free people sizing is bigger than most. A small fits like a medium a xs fit like a small etc.
