Sweet, Rhyming, and LLAMAS!

This book brought back such wonderful memories of being invited for a friend's house to join in their Hanukkah celebrations and I loved being able to share those memories with my own children in such a FUN way. At less than 75 words. I don’t understand how this book covers so much. The author's expert word choices and the clever illustrations will be adored by all young readers, whether they are familiar with everything Hanukkah or whether they are being introduced to the holiday for the first time. An Author’s Note at the end goes further in depth for curious children (and their parents) who want to learn more.

fun celebration of Hanukkah

HAPPY LLAMAKKAH! is a simple and joyous celebration of Hanukkah! The book features a rhyming poem with some key features of the holiday and plenty of adorable llamas celebrating. This is a charming and festive read that brings this holiday to young readers, including frying latkes, chocolate gelt, and singing. What I loved: The book is beautifully illustrated with plenty of fun llamas on every page. The text is brief, making it great for short attention spans, and the rhyming nature of the poem makes it fun to read and listen to. The holiday is really celebrated in a fun way, and it is great to see holiday books about Hanukkah. The back matter also includes extra details about the holiday that make this an educational read for those not already familiar with the holiday. Final verdict: A delightful and joyous read about Hanukkah, HAPPY LLAMAKKAH! is a charming picture book that will appeal to young readers of many ages with its short and rhyming text, adorable llama family, and educational back matter. Please note that I received an ARC. All opinions are my own.
