Nothing like photo

The actual lamp looks nothing like the photo. If my family hadn’t already thrown away the boxes, I would return it.

I've changed my mind!

Ten days ago, I wrote a 3-star review for this lamp. But I have to confess that, having lived with it for awhile, I've changed my mind a bit. I still think the seam on the shade is distracting, but the colors in the lamp vase stand out in better lighting. I had a 60 watt LED equivalent bulb in the shade; replacing it with a 100 watt equivalent brought out the the blue and gray shades in the glaze (though still not as much in the picture). Since the shade is darker than the one on the lamp it replaced, the higher-watt bulb looks better. I've also decided the shade is not too large; it adds to the impact of the lamp.

Not as nice as the picture

It’s a nice, distinctive lamp, but, like many others have noted, it doesn’t have the blue or gray tones shown in the picture, which is mildly disappointing. The shade is nice enough but seems a tad large; worse, there is a dark seam running down the middle of one side the same color as the shade rims. (The site picture only shows the “good” side; I've included a pic of the seam on my lamp. Note that I haven't removed the plastic cover yet.) It really spoils the design of the shade. I can’t understand why the seam wasn’t covered with the same burlap color as the rest of the shade to make it less noticeable. I may decide to replace it. In short, buy this lamp if you want a color scheme that is heavy on rusts and browns and has a distracting dark seam on the shade.
