I was concerned this bed was too firm. It turns out it is just right. It has eliminated my hip pain but is still firm enough to not give me a back ache. It has a nice layer of padding on the top. Not for someone who sleeps hot though. The bed holds body heat which is great for me as I am usually cold when I go to bed. My husband hates it though.

We went through several bed-in-a-box mattresses, watched videos, read reviews by "sleep experts " but couldn't get a good night's rest. Then I found the perfect mattress, the King Koil Marlow plush from the Austen Collection. This mattress is so plush yet supportive and is such a pleasure to climb into each night. I have sciatic pain in my hips and lower back and have found so much relief in the comfort of my new bed. I highly recommend this mattress and brag about it to anyone who will listen. I am so disappointed in this mattress! I waited weeks for it because they kept rescheduling the delivery. But once I received it I don’t understand how it can be considered plush. I have had back pain since I started sleeping on it. I can’t imagine how hard the firm one must be, because this is definitely not plush. For the price point I’m really sad about it.

This mattress is plush yet supportive. I am a side sleeper and my hips get sore easily. Have had no pain since getting this mattress. Very comfortable!

i really like this mattress a lot. I returned another mattress set and decided on the King Koil Marlow. i have a bad back and this bed is the perfect combination of support and comfort with give. it has memory foam on the top (multiple layers) and a great coil system. This bed makes for a comfortable night every night. i am very happy with this purchase. The chiropractic association supports the King Koil line as well. i recommend you try it in the store as an option. Once small negative it did off gas for a day or two. i left the sheets off for about 6 hours and by the next morning only a very small scent was left which went away. the scent did not disturb my sleep at all. it is the memory foams that probably caused the initial off gassing.
