The clean shapes, reactive glaze and handpainted details of the Laurie Gates Potenza stoneware dinnerware set bring a fresh look to your table that's ideal for casual dining and entertaining.
I bought these hoping they would be safe in the microwave. They are perfect! I love the look and how they stand up to every day use!
I love this product. It adds such class to my collection of serving bowls. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.
I love this set except for the fact that it chips more easily than I expected. Now I am not sure if I would get this set again but since I currently have it and I may need another set for the Holidays I may give it another chance. Maybe it was just a fluke.
I saw the set inside the Store and from a distance I thought they wear melamine. As I got closer you can see the rustic elements of the stoneware. These plates do not have a flat smooth surface and have a more rustic appearance which I can appreciate. Not every plate or bowl is alike so they appear custom and handmade by a pottery artist. These are also hand painted and not one plate is alike. This set is more of a cream color with blue and brown streaks on the outer edge. Most plates all look the same with the same blue halo on the outer edge...boring. The mugs are really cool too. I feel like the bowls are a little on the small side. If you currently have blue or brown plates you can easily combine them with this set to give it a more marketplace setting. Overall, very happy with this set! Plus everything is microwave and dishwasher safe.
My husband picked these dishes. I wanted basic white to coordinate with many settings but he wanted rustic. Having them now in person they are even more rustic than they appear mostly bec they aren’t cream and blue, but more like a taupe and navy. It looks like they are made of Terra cotta clay, then lightly glazed with the taupe color—just enough to see hints of Terra cotta through it. Not sure if they really are TC, but they are lightweight like it, too, so if dropped I don’t think they’ll make it. Also, they’re VERY textured, more so than they appear in the photos. I don’t mind this, but it makes a couple of the bowls & mugs unstable. Speaking of bowls, they’re on the small side. I like that, but if you like larger bowls... We got the platter, too, &even though it’s flat on one edge (no lip), it’s my favorite piece. Like the dishes, it will be a convo starter. These won’t coordinate w/ much & aren’t good for fancy dinner parties, but they’ll work for everyday & basic ent’g.
