9" Markham Vase

Beautiful

I adore this bowl. It is a versatile size and the pattern is amazing.

I bought this Markham vase, and also the Lacey vase, each for my son and daughter. Comparing the two: This vase says it was made in Germany, is much lighter, the sound when tapped isn't pretty and the so called "cuts" appear more like they have been molded. Cuts are precise and have a cut feeling and this has rounded "cuts", again like a mold would produce. The bottom isn't even flat and it wobbles enough to be annoying. Yes I know lower priced Waterford is very different from the higher priced items by them but this has a plain, regular glass appearance. I don't recommend it especially to someone who has been exposed to Waterford their whole life, like my kids. To give them this would be an insult in my opinion. I do like the Lacey vase and you can refer to it separately for my review if interested.

This was a gift for retirement. The recipient was thrilled and thought it was so pretty. She started thinking of all the ways she was going to use it.

Very classy. Bit heavier than what I had expected but overall it's a great addition to my collection!!
