A gently scalloped edge in hardy stoneware gives the Mikasa French Countryside dinnerware collection an effortless grace that's ideal for every day. Oversized plates, bowls and serving pieces are finished with a rich, creamy glaze to suit any setting.
beautiful bowls, arrived fast, well-packed and perfect. after only a few uses saw a chip on one of the rims. had carefully washed by hand, can't recall what could have caused it. a few weeks later saw a large chip in the sink, had come from the rim/whatever it's called at the bottom of another bowl. no idea how it happened, did glue it back on with crazy glue. I've never had chips or broken pieces off a dish unless I dropped it or hit it with another item. these bowls are thin which makes them beautiful but apparently very delicate. I wouldn't buy again at full price but because I love them I would buy again if ever on a good sale.
I have had these dishes for well over 30 years and they are my favorites for everyday use. Durable and beautiful for any occasion. All you need to do is get some Barkeepers Friend scouring powder and rub lightly with a moistened sponge and the grey marks disappear. Also works well on my (several!) sets of Russel Wright antique Iroquois china.
Beautiful set, elegant design, great price. It's unique design tempts just to look at, good job Macy
Macy’s/Mikasa changed the style of this dish which I ordered as a replacement; obviously, it didn’t match my set of dishes. Nothing is “wrong” with the dish. Actually, it’s quite nice in that it is deep rather than flat. I should looked on the back of my dish to ensure I had the style number.
Added these coffee mugs to our French Countryside dinnerware which came with tea cups and saucers only. Not a large mug but perfect for a medium size cup of coffee. We use these daily and have held up well in our microwave and dishwasher. Would highly recommend. Came well packaged.
Bought two sets of these bread and butter plates. They are smaller than the salad plates and perfect for a small muffin, cookie, or smaller vegetable portion, etc. Also great for a small snack between meals. Really cute plates that we reach for often. .
Love this large oval platter from the French Countryside collection. Very sturdy with high sides to avoid spillages from juices if transporting meats from the grill. Large enough to hold 3 or 4 large steaks, etc. Would highly recommend. We bought two of these. .
I’m so glad I was able to replace my mugs after 2 broke in the same week (they have had heavy daily use for at least 10 years). I realize this is an older pattern and many of the serving pieces are no longer available, but I haven’t found anything I like better.
