I was actually searching for another brand. (Carol Wior Slimsuit) which has now become very hard to find in plus sizes. This is similar but not the same.
The things everyone should know:
1. The shoulder straps only adjust so much and slip down. I'm going to sew mine in place. (The girls keep pulling them down.)
2. The top is 2 layers of material with underwire. As long as the straps are adjusted correctly the support against gravity is actually good. Unfortunately, bra section does not provide enough coverage so if you are cold, everyone will know it. I hope to figure out how to sew in a thin foam liner that hopefully doesn't float!
3. It does a pretty good job at sucking everything in. She shirring is designed to distract from a thick wast but it does ride up to the smallest part of my midsection which is basically just under the boobs. I have to pull it down periodically.
4. It's still too cold to swim so I can't comment on how it's going to be in the pool but most of the suits I have get larger when wet. If this one does the same I will have a problem. I'm a size smaller on top than on bottom so I ordered the larger size. I could probably have squeezed into one size smaller so I hope I don't regret this because it's a very expensive suit to be stuck with!
Overall, I like it. The color looks great with my skin and it was a much more vivid purple than I expected. It's not as good as the original by Carol Wior but 2nd runner up.
