Love the way the coaches look but recliners on two center sectionals stopped working in less than 6 months. Upper portion on one dislodged from its base. A very young man from Macy's came out to inspect the defects. We recieved one replacement electronic part in the mail 3 months later and a letter staring that the frame issue was not covered.
Within the first few months the first headrest was broken, and all were broken by the first 9 months. The first recliner stopped working after about 9 months, the second works intermittently and the third works. The headrest is broken on the only recliner that works, which makes it awkward to use. We are a family of 4 with older teens who know how to treat furniture. The sectional is in our main living area and is used daily. We did not buy the warranty because we thought a product Macy's sold should be of sound enough quality. The sofa is very attractive and the leather is nice. The cushioning is comfortable and easy to keep clean. After two years, the cushions have softened to the point where we can feel the structure of the sofa. The individual sections are very heavy, so once it is in place don't plan to move it. The cost is too high considering how quickly parts broke. We are very disappointed.
We love the sofa and it was the perfect size for our living room. Very disappointed with this purchase because the leather started ripping in 2 different pieces. I hope we could do something, we still paying for this sectional.
I shopped for a couple of months and this sectional was the only item I remotely liked in our budget. I am a single mom with one teenage son at home, frequent guests and a dog that gets on the couch. Pros: The leather cognac color has stayed true and has been easy to clean, we've had no mechanical issues with the recliner or head rests. The couch still looks nice and the leather looks brand new after two years and one in-town move. Cons: I'm noticing the two preferred places to sit which is in the corners for the arm rests are starting to sag. My prior leather couch was a Flexsteel couch and it didn't have any sagging after 10+ years. The day of delivery I didn't notice the pieces didn't align properly, each one is about 1/2 inch off. I don't think anyone notices and I didn't want the hassle of returns and replacements so I've just lived with it. My brother is quite handy and has offered to reposition the connectors to get proper alignment. A small chunk of leather has also disappeared from the very back corner of one of the arm rests (I noticed this before the move). I've chosen not to use the extended warranty on it, it's in a part that is a few inches from the wall, I don't think anyone other than me notices and it's because I condition the leather every 6 months. Overall: It's holding up ok but given the sagging in the frequently used spots I don't think it will hold up for the 10-15 years I was hoping for. During delivery and set-up check the alignment VERY carefully. It still looks beautiful in the family room, I just wish the seat construction was more solid and stood up to longer use. To move to the next price point and quality in a sectional of this size you are nearly doubling the cost.
This is a high quality looking leather sectional. After searching for months we fell in love with the sectional in a Macys store and decided to pay the extra bucks in comparison to others. For 7 months, we couldn't be happier. But around month seven, we started to notice sag and deeper impressions in spots that we frequently sit in because of the TV placement. This was something that we were very afraid of considering the price point. Guest don't notice but we do because we sit on it everyday. Keep in mind we are not overly large people. I'm approx a 190 lbs male and my wife is 120 lbs. The other cushions that we do sit on often feel very firm and like new (it's been 12 months now). I would give 5 stars if the seat bottoms stayed firmer longer. I would have prefer to put this in a movie room in hindsight (where you don't sit in the same spots daily.) Pros: Modern, clean look, power button operation, high quality leather Cons: Not a everyday couch, not good for laying down, seat bottoms will give quickly if using daily
Replacing old which had been broken, Macys warranty returned all money so getting new one. Sectional sofa is very good, contemporary. Love how leather is feel and very important pillows will not flatten, and bumpy, made from foam. We spent 3 days and decided to take this one.
I love the recliners and head rests. Most comfortable furniture we have ever had
We would like to say thank you for the outstanding guidance and personal assistance of the two Macy's Sales Persons. We have looked at this sofa on 3 different occasions and loved the knowledge and non-pushy professionalism of our sales man/person. When we did come to Macy's to buy the sofa our (3x) salesman was off that evening and another gracious sales woman wrote the order, as if we were her customer! We have purchased other furniture and bedding from this store and have found over and over again.....professional, knowledgeable, and friendly Macy's employees. Thank you to your management for great hires and a well appointed showroom. We look forward to the same quality in the sofa we have ordered.
