RitualiTea "Matcha Madness" Powdered Face Mask

Sorry, this item is currently unavailable.

Just add water to mix up healthier looking skin. Our powder mask transforms into a creamy, effervescent oasis of calm for skin & senses. Infused with antioxidant-rich Matcha & Green Tea, it helps revitalize and restore a smooth, even texture as the fresh, herbaceous aroma transports you to another world. Skin feels relaxed and renewed. As found in nature, dry tea has a fresh aromatic scent and is more earthy when wet. The same is true for the Power Face Mask.

  • How to use:
  • Blend 2 level teaspoons of powder with 2 teaspoons warm water in a bowl. Mix well, until a smooth and creamy consistency.

Ok, So at first I thought my mask had gone bad, that it expired or something because it smelt AWFUL, like vomit or something. Tunrns out I'm not the only one who thinks the same (judging by the few reviews on here) .Luckily the mask was pasted down to me as a gift so I'm glad I didn't waste any of my own money on this and it didn't make me feel so bad when I decided to toss the whole tin of powder into the trash. Also it really started to make me skin sting as soon as I applied it on . So overall I give this product a -5 out of 10 . Maybe Origins can do something to fix and make some improvements to this mask or maybe just come up with a new and more better product.

    This really smelt bad.

At first I didn't believe the reviews that said the mask smelt bad. Because there were downvotes on those and upvotes on the ones that said the mask just smelt earthy. Yes it smells earthy and wonderful, only when it is in its powder form and dry - then it smells like wonderful matcha and some orange/woodsy oils. But god, the moment you add water to it, it begins to smell like ammonium (is it the bicarbonate of soda reacting with something else, I wonder?). It's not bad enough to make me puke. Just a slight sadness that it could have been made to smell like it is in its powdered form. P.s. I do understand what someone else meant when they wrote about it smelling 'shrimpy'. It made me laugh, for indeed there is a hint of that. Oh goodness. Don't recommend paying money for this. Unless you try a sample and realise the smell is really to your liking.

    Must Have!

I've been using this for the past year and I always make sure I have some on hand. I feel like it lasts longer this way (as a powder) than it does if it came in a tube. Some people say they don't like the smell but I didn't even notice it. I love green tea (although I find drinking matcha to be too bitter for me). At first I had trouble with the consistency because it was pretty watery but it spread on easily so I thought that was how it should be. However, I eventually mixed it (with less water) and it became fluffy like a chocolate mousse and it was so easy and nice to spread it onto my face. It didn't drip at all and it felt nice and cool on my freshly washed skin. Most masks don't make too much of an immediate difference but this one is just so soothing that my skin looks visible different after washing it off.

    Also glad I bought it!

Anyone who doesn't like the smell can send their tins to me. I think it smells, well, like matcha and green tea, earthy and refreshing. Even after one use, my skin felt smoother and my complexion more even. I don't always use it regularly as instructed, but I also use it before special occasions, like another reviewer mentioned. I've had a little bit of user error getting the consistency right while also trying to conserve product and get the most bang for my buck, and so I've gone through my run faster than I'd like. I don't always enjoy a product enough to replenish when I run out, but this time I think I will!

    Terrible Smell

Oh my Goodness. The smell of this mask ! It is just terrible. Once I was mixing the powder with water, the terrible scent float up. It is even worse when you have to put it on your face so close to your nose. It smells like some kind of awful leftover and you forgot to put into fridge for days.

Fresh, smooth, recitalist. I love the scent. It's not flowery. It's smells like healthy plants and earth after a fresh rain.

    Smells like clam juice!

I love origins. Some of their products have done wonders for my skin. I was excited when I got a sample of this. But oh my goodness it smells like clam juice. It's pretty awful. My dog is going nuts though, he wants to eat my mask. I'm trying to hang in there but I can't, it's making me physically feel ill. Made it all of 2 minutes. Really gross :-(
