Friendship and faith in a book
Heidi has done something that I have not yet found in a book, she has written a book that truly embodies the feeling of sitting and chatting with a close friend. She takes moments and memories that could feel sad or overwhelming and turns them into moments of hope and inspiration. This book can cross over to any challenge or tribulation in your life and offers new insight to the Bible and how to read through His word and find hope-giving and life-giving moments in those words. Kudos to Heidi for shining a whole new light on Bible stories that can truly make the difference in the challenges we face. Encouraging truths relevant for today
This book tells the stories of people from God’s Word, people just like you and me who had fears, doubts and even ran from Him. How Heidi beautifully re-tells their stories in this book, chapter by chapter, not only captures your attention but makes it easy to relate to and point the reader to Jesus, the only One who can give us true hope and peace in an ever-changing world around us. I have been encouraged in my own faith reading her book, as she spends page after page reminding the reader of God’s many promises! “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

So encouraging!
Are you looking for an easy, uplifting, encouraging, bible-centered book that will help you to see how God used ordinary people in the Bible to teach us important truths?! This is it. Heidi has a way of helping the Bible make sense - in a way that is meaningful and useful in our lives. She’s a mom to young kids and has experienced so much of what I experience daily, making her incredibly relatable. I love how her voice is truly that, just like we’re having a conversation through the pages. Give this book a listen, or a read, and expect to be encouraged!

Best book I've read in a loooooong time
I've read a lot of great books, but this one had me racing to read it whenever possible. The author makes these Biblical accounts so relatable to current day, that it was really like seeing these people for the first time. This book was an amazing encouragement on how to see God STILL at work in our own lives just like He did in His Word. It was a help to remember that when life feels incredibly dark, I simply haven't gotten to the in my story in that season where God shines through. But it WILL come, and it's gonna be good .

Best devotional ever!
This is seriously the best devotional book I have EVER read and you will be so happy you purchased it!! It is seriously life changing and calms my anxieties. It also puts your mind in the place of many Bible characters and makes you understand they are just like us and have gone through the same feelings and stresses!! It also shows how God leads them through troubling times and in the same way will lead you too! This book will cause you to have so much peace and just want more books from Heidi Lee Anderson!!

Such a great book! It’s kinda like a devotional book where Heidi discusses what the Bible says about anxiety and fear. Definitely a good read in todays society and with everything going on in the world.

Absolutely incredible!! A must read!
Heidi does an amazing job bringing fear into perspective for her readers. She’s gone through some of the same struggles that her readers are going through-so it all comes from real-life experience. As someone who struggles with anxiety and fear, I felt like she was speaking directly to me; reading my mind. In addition, her sense of humor is on point and will literally have me bursting into laughter. The combination of humor & seriousness is just right & it’s a great read for anyone-whether you’re new in your relationship with Christ or not. Heidi breaks things down so that the biblical stories she’s referring to are easy for a new Christian to follow, as well as thought provoking & capturing to a life-long Christian. I highly suggest getting the audiobook-hearing her read the book, with her personality, really brings it to life & to a whole other level!
