Truly matches the title

I am currently using this book as an example of how contemporary art and poetry can be used as therapy and help deal with trauma in my senior capstone. It is beautifully written and all the poems are placed perfectly to feel the emotions of each chapter. I think this was the reason I could get up without feeling like everything that I was going through was just me. I didn't feel alone

I did not like

I did not like this book. I read a lot of poetry and had high hopes for this, but it read like an emotional teenager's diary. Maybe my tastes are too refined, but I enjoy other poets in contemporary poetry.

Thoughts on Pillow Thoughts

I borrowed this book from a friend before schools shut down from Covid. I find it really interesting because a lot of the poems sound dark but have an overlying message of hope and love on them and it’s a cool twist on how love poems are “supposed” to go
