[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The decanter itself is aesthetically pleasing and functional, which is why I gave it more than 1 star. Sadly we have ordered 2 now and the metal band around the base is poorly attached. The first one we had, had a giant gap between the band and the base. The second one had glue oozing out from the band. Sadly we will have to find a different decanter for our wine swilling ways.

Wanted to love this, and for the price / brand I expected top quality. The first one arrived with the wooden coaster completely warped and wobbling, and the gold trim around it detached. We contacted Macy's for a replacement. The second one is better - but the coaster base STILL wobbles, and I guess the glue they're using for the gold trim just doesn't work, because this one is detached too. So disappointed in the lack of quality on this piece!

This is a GREAT decanter that takes all of the hassle out of decanting older wines and ports that may have sediment.... all of my wine loving friends want it, and i know what I am giving for Christmas presents this year!
