Projections seem weak with Ralp Lauren fragrances, at least with the Red sub-categories. There's a good emphasis on leather and coffee notes with this fragrance. It's not too strong or overwhelming. It's subtle and spicyish. A lot of people have mentioned that there's some cranberry notes in this DNA. I, for one, couldn't get any berry fruit scents. But that's just me. Performance is weak for a Eau Du Parfum and price. I was expecting this burst of leather, cedarwood and citrus. All you get is tonka bean and synthetic leather scent.Typical 5-6 sprays applicator around neck, chest and behind ears lasted only about an hour or so, for me. It's an improvement over the original Polo Red EDT-which also underperformed. I'd give this fragrance a 4/10. There's better performing EDTs for around the same price as Polo Red Intense. This would be a good fragrance for a high school or middle school kids, not adults who have serious jobs or wamt to stand out.

Great scent, very sweet, yet still holds a masculine feel. Not the strongest however. A few sprays is good for a few hours. Fades quickly. Still a great scent though.

I purchased this as a father's day gift to my son from his young daughter and son. He was very excited to receive it because he had a sample and really wanted it. It also came with a beautiful free duffle bag, which is identical to the bottle color and pattern. My son and I suffer from migraines, but this cologne (Polo Red w/black stripe) has not triggered a migraine. It a very nice smelling cologne but not strong smelling.
