SATURDAY is a truly enjoyable and relatable read!

I adore SATURDAY so much! Right off the bat, this book follows an endearing mother-daughter duo who keep encountering mischievous mishaps for the one day of the week where they're free to spend much-treasured time with each other. Oge Mora incorporates heart-charged showing vs. telling, arc-moving and character-building repeated phrasing, and energetic, plucky pacing in sync with her brilliant illustrations. With notes touching on mother-daughter bonding, cherished time together, disappointments, frustrating moments, and emotions shared by adults and kids, this is a very fun and life-affirming read.
