Hard to get on

Just got these today and I love the over all style. But they are extremely hard to get on and I have a narrow foot. They should have had a zipper on the inside of the shoe. The lining on the inside makes it hard to get them on. I actually cut a slit in the lining to get them on. When I purchase boots I always go up a half size to give myself room to wear a thick sock and I did the same with these.
