I've used T Fal cookware for many years without problems. I liked the durability, the cooking performance, appearance and weight. However, this particular model has disappointed me greatly. I bought the set about a year ago but have used it very little until recently. I am not a picky chef-type status conscious cook. That said, the new product insides nick very badly. With previous models I never worried about what type of utensils to use. The finish on the bottoms of the pans is very fragile and is being abraded by my gas cook top. The very thin layer of beautiful champagne color that seduced me scrapes off easily to reveal chalky white. It looks bad. Never happened on previous models. I do like the light weight of the pans - easier to handle than heavy stainless steel. I like the handles and lids that stay cool. I put it in the dishwasher - care instructions are ambiguous when they say something is dishwasher safe, and then say wash by hand with gentle soap and scrubber. Cookware still performs well but it looks awful, old and worn out already. I'll have to reconsider when shopping for a new set.
