Great book to get your "Disney Fix" at HOME!
As a former Disney Annual Passholder, I am missing out on my Disney fix these days. I heard about this cookbook and I was eager to preview it! The cookbook features specialties and treats sorted by each WDW theme park including Disneyland and California Adventure. Besides Mickey Waffles and Dole Whips, some recipes that I'm eager to attempt include Peanut Butter & Jelly Milkshakes, Raspberry Rose Mickey Macarons, Blue Milk, and LeFou's Brew. This Disneyphile author and former cast member has been featuring her WDW inspired treats on her popular blog for years and decided to compile them all into a cookbook which will be released on Nov 10th! Great Christmas gift idea! Thanks to Ashley Craft and Simon & Schuster for a digital preview copy of this book!

Really Fun
This is a really fun cook book. I like that the recipes are easy to follow and the author also provides a good introduction to the kitchen tools needed for the recipes in the introduction of the book. This helps make the recipes more accessible for people who are less experienced in the kitchen and also easier for the whole family to cook together. There are some more challenging recipes too for more experienced chefs looking to try something new. I also appreciated the information about the parks. I personally am more familiar with Disneyland in California so I enjoyed learning about parks and foods that are unique to Florida. The author gives an overview of each of the parks in the beginning of the book and more detailed information with each recipe. There are also extra facts about the parks and foods that pop up throughout the book providing even more interesting information. All around this is an informative and creative book that is sure to delight Disney fans looking to recreate some magic in their own kitchen.

a great gift !
What a lovely idea ! It is like "Madeleine de Proust", food reminds us very quickly of nice memories, laugters, music, and fun. So, going throught the book , the recipes, the explanations about the parks, just contributes to bring a festive mood. I had great pleasure discovering all the recipes, and will give as a gift the Unoffical Disney parks cookbook. I received a copy from NetGalley, all opinions are mine.

Magical recipes at your fingertips.
Ashley Craft has created a beautiful cookbook based on the magical world of Disney. Craft takes the reader through Disneyland, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and California Adventures. With each chapter she discuses each park and the food you can find with them. You can find Green Milk from Star Wars Galaxy's Edge to Night Blossom in The World of Avatar. I chose to make the Campfire Chili which can be found in Grizzly Peak of California Adventure. What I found unique to the chili is that it didn't require much liquid that would then need to be cooked down. It is heavy in the cumin and also has curry powder in it. I modified it by adding a yellow bell pepper to it plus I cut down the black beans from 3 cans to 2. After sampling the recipe, my husband and I agree that it is very tasty. I couldn't tell you if it is a good copy cat to the original as I've never been to California Adventure, but I did think it needed a little heat so I added cayenne and chili powder. Topped it off with shredded cheese, green onions and a dollop of sour cream :) I took a picture but I will try and post it later. This is a fun and wonderful book that would be a treasure to any Disney enthusiast. I wish it had the Waldorf Salad from Frontier Land. It's my absolute favorite. Special thanks to Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to write this review in exchange for my honest opinion.

A Culinary Disney Trip!
The Unofficial Disney Parks Cookbook by Ashley Craft is a fun cookbook that takes you on a culinary tour of the Disney Parks. If you are longing for some coveted Disney churros or a Mickey waffle, this book has it all. It is a well-organized and easy to follow book of recipes that will make a staycation a little bit easier. The book starts off with quite a lot of information about the food at the US Disney Parks and a backgrounder on how the author came to create the collection of recipes. There is also an extensive list of supplies included for those who are looking to whip up some of these copy-cat recipes. Although there aren’t as many images in the book that show off the various dishes that are included in the book, they are colourful and stunning. ❀ THE CONTENTS OF THE UNOFFICIAL DISNEY PARKS COOKBOOK: Part 1: Disney Parks Cooking 101 The Delicious Disney Experience The Disney Cook’s Essentials Part 2: Magical Recipes DIsneyland Magic Kingdom Epcot Disney’s Hollywood Studios Disney’s Animal Kingdom Disney California Adventure ❀ LOTS OF DIFFERENT RECIPES TO CREATE The book is divided into the various parks and there are quite a few different recipes to create from each area. Depending on how exact you are hoping your dish to be, there are quite a few items that will need to be purchased in advance. Items such as Mickey-shaped cookie cutters and a Mickey waffle iron might be needed for similar results. The instructions are fairly straightforward and many of the recipes are so basic that even the most inexperienced cooks can achieve success. ❀ PLEASING RESULTS I am always up for trying a cookie recipe and created the Mickey Sugar Cookies. The recipe is a typical sugar cookie with the exception of the shape and the ideas for how to decorate it to achieve the same look as those you will find in the Magic Kingdom. I did purchase a Mickey cookie cutter and was quite pleased with the results. ❀ A CULINARY DISNEY TRIP If you are a craving some Disney-inspired food, The Unofficial Disney Parks Cookbook is definitely one recipe book to look for. There are many yummy and interesting recipes included in this book that will take you on a culinary Disney trip.

A Winner for Disney & Cookbook Fans Alike
I think this cookbook was a real winner. Perfect for the cookbook collector, the Devoted Disney Fan or the home cook that just wants to add a bit of Disney magic to their kitchen, this book is beautiful to look at, fun to read and an inspiration that will have your mouthwatering and your mind eager to get cooking. A array of recipes is provided and there are many lovely photos to accompany them. Add in a bit of Disney history, a bunch of fun facts and some helpful tips and tricks and you have yourself a solid cookbook that educates and entertains. Personally I have made (and Loved!!) the Churros and Gaston’s Giant Cinnamon Rolls (which were AMAZING!!). Definitely looking forward to trying more as soon as I can. I will give you a heads up that a lot of these recipes require a deep fryer and some others will lose their "Disney" appearance without having special items like Disney themed cookie cutters or a Mickey shaped waffle iron and a few ingredients might be harder for others to find locally. Still, I really liked it and I think many others will too. I am posting on objective review of my own volition.
