Think and Grow Rich has been called the "Granddaddy of All Motivational Literature. " It was the first book to boldly ask, "What makes a winner?" The man who asked and listened for the answer, Napoleon Hill, is now counted in the top ranks of the world's winners himself. The most famous of all teachers of success spent "a fortune and the better part of a lifetime of effort" to produce the "Law of Success" philosophy that forms the basis of his books and that is so powerfully summarized in this one. In the original Think and Grow Rich, published in 1937, Hill draws on stories of Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, and other millionaires of his generation to illustrate his principles. In the updated version, Arthur R. Pell, Ph. D. , a nationally known author, lecturer, and consultant in human resources management and an expert in applying Hill's thought, deftly interweaves anecdotes of how contemporary millionaires and billionaires, such as Bill Gates, Mary Kay Ash, Dave Thomas, and Sir John Templeton, achieved their wealth. Outmoded or arcane terminology and examples are faithfully refreshed to preclude any stumbling blocks to a new generation of readers.

Very educational

Think and grow Rich by Napoleon Hill has been among the most influential books i have ever read. This book teaches about the power of self influence, autosuggestion and making plans for success. The beginning of the book starts with a story of Edwin C. Barnes who desired to work with Thomas edison. The first time Edison met Barnes he knew he was different from others through the look of determination Barnes was persistent and in the end he proved himself as a partner providing much wealth. Throughout the book many similar examples are used. “If the significance of this statement could be conveyed to every person who reads it, there would be no need for the remainder of this book.”This is what was stated after telling the story. A major message in the book is the power of autosuggestion. The book suggests that if you want something, you have to keep that in your mind. One way of doing so is repeating statements to yourself of what you want and preparing what you will do to achieve it. The book states messages along those lines that you can tell yourself when you wake up throughout it. Another major topic in the book is it’s detailed plans for success. It mentions a woman who achieves such success after making a detailed plan for her son to get a job and rather than build up from the button, start near the top. After that he ended up succeeding in acquiring that position and she then wrote a book about it. After that many people came calling for her help and to improve proficiency, she hired skilled people and now had much less to do with people who specialized in a field helping her in that field. After, there are instructions for obtaining lots of positions which can help anyone who wants to obtain them. In all this was a very informative book which I would recommend to anyone who wants to achieve something. It is a book which may bring what they desire to them.
