This mug is oval, not round. We could have lived with that. But it doesn't hold 11.75 ounces. It barely holds 10 ounces. It is noticably smaller than the Montauk mug by the same manufacturer.

The top of the cup is oval, not round. My husband likes the unusual shape; I prefer a regular round coffee cup. But I bought the matching dishes so I'm sticking with these.
