Too Much Dress, Not enough me

I loved the unique pattern on this dress, something I have never seen. But this dress did not suit me well. I am 5'2 and 110lbs. and I got lost in the dress. It is a lot of material and very dressy looking, not casual like I thought it would look. This dress would be great for someone over 5'5 only, but sadly not for short little me.

Great Maxi dress

Made me look frumpy instead of fabulous

I wanted this dress to work, but it made me look 10 pounds heavier than I actually am. The placement of the white fabric below the blouson waist made my tummy look bigger and the two black sections at the side of the dress did not have a slimming effect. The dress itself is very well made (which is why I gave it 2 stars), but it just didn't work for my body type (hourglass, size 8).
