LOCATION INFORMATION

As crowds build, some of these locations will be closed and spectators will be redirected to additional open access points to the FDR.

The following areas are not suggested for viewing: Battery Park, Battery Park City, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Hunter’s Point South Waterfront Park and Roosevelt Island.

The public is advised not to bring lawn chairs and blankets with them to the show.

Please note:
Emergency Medical Service units will be deployed throughout all public viewing areas designated by the city and NYPD.

GETTING THERE

Call 511 for the MTA's automated travel information 24/7. Agents are also available in stations from 6AM to 10PM or visit www.mta.info to plan your trip with "Trip Planner"

NYC Transit
will run increased subway service before and after the July 4th Fireworks Spectacular.

Bus Service
near the fireworks will be rerouted, with extra trips available after the event.

Public Parking
will not be available in this area; therefore, the following transportation options will be suggested to the general public.

Leave cars at home.

Use public transportation and buy round trip fare with MetroCardTM in advance to avoid long lines after the Fireworks.

MetroCardTM allows for free transfer to bus service.

GENERAL DIRECTIONS

Access blocks will close as viewing areas fill up. Spectators will be redirected to open access blocks as appropriate. All access points are subject to change up until the day of the event by NYPD.

COMMUTER RAILWAYS

All trains will run on Saturday schedules

METRO-NORTH

From Westchester, Duchess and Putnam Counties and Connecticut, transfer at Grand Central Terminal to the 4 or 5 subway line to the Fulton St. station.

LIRR/NJ TRANSIT/AMTRAK

From Long Island & New Jersey, transfer at Penn Station to the 2 or 3 subway line to the Fulton St. station.

PATH

From New Jersey, take trains to the World Trade Center station.

All trains will run on Saturday schedules

From the Grand Central Station-42nd St. station, head downtown on the East Side via the 4 or 5 train to Fulton St.

  • How do I get tickets to see Macy's Fireworks?
  • Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks is a free public event. Tickets are not for sale. Macy’s works closely with local agencies to provide more than two miles of public viewing space that provides spectators with a front row view. These locations, entry points and security details are available in the “Where to Watch” section of the website.

    PLEASE NOTE: If you are interested in purchasing tickets to any venue (i.e. restaurant, bar, etc.) along the viewing path that may be advertising such access, that is up to your discretion. Macy’s is not aware of and does not approve, endorse or participate in these events/activities. In general, Macy’s does not sell tickets to any V.I.P. viewing locations.

  • Can I submit my group or artist to perform on the show?
  • Thanks for your interest in performing at Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks show. Performers for our national broadcast are selected by NBC show producers who invite internationally known chart-topping stars. Please check out the “About The Show” section of the website to see who will be performing this year.

  • Where can I see the show?

  • What is a safety tip for viewing the live show?
  • Stay hydrated in the heat. The forecast may include high temps and humidity in and around NYC. Be sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day.

  • Are there accommodations or locations for people with special needs?
  • Yes. ADA Viewing will be available at the Murray Bergtraum High School Track and Field Facility at the base of the Manhattan Bridge entrance at Market and Cherry Streets. Please call our hotline at (212) 494-4495 for the most up-to-date information about special-needs viewing.

  • Where can I see the performers?
  • Unfortunately, access to this area is not available to the general public as it is part of a television broadcast. To see these performances, please tune in to our show’s broadcast on NBC at 8PM ET.
