There is four different sides to it which offer versatile grating options. The blades of the grater are sharp enough for the food item to grate easily but safe enough for me not cute myself. It has a black rubber handle that offers a nice grip as well as rubber in the bottom which make it sturdy and doesn’t slip. It comes with a removable plastic measuring cup which is very convenient for when I need to measure something for a recipe. I personally do not use the bowl catcher when I am shredding my cheese. It is designed to be used that way to be easier. But it is too small and the cheese ends up falling out from the side and makes a mess. So I personally prefer using a bigger bowl to not make a mess. And I I ust use the cup it comes with as storage for extra cheese as it does with come with a lot which I do love. My old grater is like a fisher price toy compared to the Oxo grater. This one is so much nicer with features I didn’t even know I was missing until now. \n\nI love the soft grip handle and rubber base that provides excellent stability while shredding. The lid for the bottom container makes storing any extra cheese a breeze if you shred too much. it’s a nice size, bigger than i was expecting yet easily stores in cabinet even with the container attached. And I I ust use the cup it comes with as storage for extra cheese as it does with come with a lot which I do love. The box grater is slim and not bulky like most traditional ones so it doesn’t take much space is my
