Timeless Neutrals
Neutral colors like white, black and nude tones that match your complexion are classic for a reason. Looking for an always-in-style color combo? Black and white dresses are stunning, plus they'll look amazing in photos. Prom dresses in neutral colors are a nice opportunity to have fun with accessories. You can choose a bright pair of shoes for a pop of color or have fun with accessories.
Bold in Blues
Go bold in blue shades that mimic the sea. From blue to teal to navy, you're sure to find a tone that you love. Play up the sea-inspired trend with coordinating accessories. You can mix and match different shades or go with stunning gold or silver tones.
Magical Metals
Daring metallic designs are also très chic for the season. Go bold with body-hugging silhouettes in gold, champagne or silver. With such a bold dress, be sure to keep all your add-ons simple.
How to Pick a Captivating Color
How do you choose a prom dress color? Teens, it's time to take notes! There are certain factors to keep in mind when choosing the color to wear to prom:
- Consider the theme. Pick a color that complements the atmosphere or one that will stand out.
- Coordinate with your date(s). Whether you're going to prom with a special someone or your besties, it could be fun to coordinate colors. Going with your guy? Match his tie or boutonniere to your dress. With the girl squad? Wear different silhouettes in a matching or complementary shade.
- Try on Different Colors. If you can, we recommend coming into your local Macy's to try on various colors. Trying things on in person is a great way to see how the color looks on your skin tone.
